Ronnie Johnson sweeps NeSmith and collects $6,500 while Michael Courtney bags $1,000

Another great night of racing action is complete at the 411 Motor Speedway as the 2013 season winds down! There may only be 11 events scheduled through the end of 2013, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any good action scheduled! More on that in a minute. We congratulate the winners from August 24th: Ronnie Johnson (J.T. Kerr Memorial 40 & Ole Smoky Moonshine 50 presented by Parkway Liquor), Brad Davis (Street Stock), Johnny Ridings (Modified), Rocky Ogle (Thunder & Lightning), and Michael Courtney (Mini Stock)!

Join us this Saturday for Tennessee State Bank Kids Back 2 School Night! If you have armbands or ticket stubs from August 17th, you may use them. All kids grades K-12 will be admitted FREE, and all kids are encouraged to bring their bicycles and helmets or their running shoes as we will have Bike and Foot races. Also a part of the racing program is a Steel Head Special, paying $1,500 to the winner with $150 to start! It’ll also be a DOUBLE points race only toward the Limited Late Model division. The rules are simple: Steel Head, Steel Block, 362 CI Max. Front tires: OPEN. Rear tires: Hoosier 1600 or American Racer 56, must punch 55 or harder. Weight: 2,350lbs. Fuel: Gas or E85 only. Top 3 finishers will be P&G checked! So join us Saturday, bring a friend or neighbor, and enjoy a night out at the races!

Collins wins 6th Annual Steel Head Nationals; Bailes, Miller, and Newman inducted into Hall of Fame

The 2012 season is in the books at the 411 Motor Speedway! Thanks to all the drivers, crew, and fans who attended this season. This past Saturday night was the 6th Annual Steel Head Nationals, which also featured our Crowning of Champions as well as the 2012 411 Motor Speedway Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Inducted into the Hall of Fame were: Mark Bailes (Flagman), Jim Miller (Wreckerman), and Hoyt Newman (Track Prep)! Congratulations to these fine gentlemen on a successful career at 411 and we look forward to continuing to have them at the track!

Saturday’s winners:
Rocky McNabb (Modified Mini), Tim Weaver (Topless Modified), Logan Dukes (Classic), David Miley (Thunder & Lightning), Shane Taylor (Mini Stock), Shannon Emery (Street Stock), and Josh Collins (Limited Late Model).

Brad Lowe, John Cobb, and Shannon Emery notch first season wins at 411

Another great night of racing is in the books at Tennessee’s Action Track! In Modified Mini action, it was all Michael Courtney as he smoked the field. Next was Street Stock where Travis Reno again started at the rear and powered his way to the front, however, he didn’t have enough as Shannon Emery took the checkers. In Mini Stock, it was Cole Trickle (Rocky McNabb) taking the win after drafting with Lee Merritt the first handful of laps. In NeSmith Crates, it was John Cobb taking the win. In Thunder & Lightning, it was Robbie Comer as he waxed the field. In Topless Modified, Flash again took the checkered flag as Keith Gregory notches his 8th win of the season. And finally, Josh Collins set fast time in the Limited with a blistering lap of 13.702, but it was all Brad Lowe as he stole the checkers.

Coming up this Saturday is another regular racing program as the season inches closer to the conclusion. There may only be about a month and a half left in the season but there’s A LOT of great racing to be seen yet! This Saturday we’ll have racing in Limited Late Model, NeSmith Crate Late Model, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, Topless Modified, Mini Stock, and Classic.

Courtney nabs Mod Mini win; King sweeps Late Model features

Another great night of racing is in the book at 411 Motor Speedway! The action was fast and furious! Robert Martin stole the checkers in Thunder & Lightning, David Singleton flew to the checkers in Mini Stock, Ryan King methodically worked lap traffic in NeSmith Crates to make it 2-for-2 for the weekend for him. Dale Watson held off Gary Blanken again this week to win in Street Stock, while Michael Courtney again cruised to the $500 paycheck in Mod Mini. In Limited Lates, Crabtree was poised to snap Ryan King’s weekend win streak until he would bounce off the turn 2 wall on lap 10, opening the door for Ryan King to power around him and claim his 3rd win for the weekend and sweep both Late Model features at 411.

Next up on May 19th is a regular racing program. But don’t forget, the ULTIMATE Super Late Models will be IN THE HOUSE on May 25th, that’s a Friday night, at the 411 Motor Speedway for a $4,000 feature! See you this Saturday night at Tennessee’s Action Track!

Courtney claims MM win while Crabtree wins then loses in LLM

A brief, but somewhat heavy, thundershower blanketed the 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday just in time for the drivers meeting. Track officials would call the cars onto the speedway to help run the track in at around 5:45p. After almost an hour, the track was sealed up just enough to begin hotlaps. A total of 98 cars signed in for racing action, and the action was fast and furious. The winners from the night are tagged below, and you can read the full stories inside this article!
