Billy Ogle, Jr. claims the ULTIMATE prize; Ladd, Crabtree, Singleton all victorious

Another action-packed night of racing is complete at Tennessee’s Action Track! This time, the ULTIMATE Super Late Models were in town for an ULTIMATE show! Beginning the night, David Crabtree would set fast time in NeSmith Crates with a lap of 14.397. Then, Chad Ogle would set fast time in the ULTIMATE Supers with a lap of 13.802. The first feature of the night was Mini Stock, where David Singleton would power from the rear to steal the lead on lap 3 and never look back, claiming his 4th win in a row. Next up was the NeSmith Crates. David Crabtree set sail early to claim the win, but 2nd place was hotly contested as Josh Henry and Ryan King went door-to-door over much of the feature, with Henry prevailing for the 2nd position. Next up was the Modified Mini, where Tim Ladd cruised to the win, and in the ULTIMATE Supers, Billy “The Kid” Ogle, Jr. and Chad Ogle would swap the lead back and forth over the first 2 restarts, ultimately (no pun intended), The Kid would snatch the lead. David Crabtree didn’t go without a fight, as he challenged at one point for the race lead until finally fading allowing Billy Ogle, Jr. to claim the win.

Next up on June 2nd is the J.T. Kerr Memorial 40! 40 laps for the NeSmith Crate Late Model Touring Series, where they will try their hand at a cool $4,000 prize check. Also on the card will be the Street Stocks, Topless Modified, and Mini Stock, where every support division will be running for a cool $400! So make sure you come out to this special event and enjoy a GREAT night of racing honoring the memory of a GREAT Hall of Fame legend!

McCarter claims Limited victory, while Gregory flashes to Topless win

Another exciting night of racing is in the books at 411 Motor Speedway! The first feature of the night was the Thunder & Lightning, where Robbie Comer would spin in 2 on lap 3, but come back to take the win. Next up was the Mini Stock division. King would lead the first half of the race before breaking in turn 4 at the halfway point. Tommy Metler would claim the win, but get protested. He was determined to be .031″ beyond tolerance on angle milling of the head and declared illegal, awarding the win to David Singleton. Next up was the Classic division. Marvin Ray would start on the pole and never look back, claiming the checkers. The next division was the Topless Modified where Keith Gregory would wear out the competition through a series of early cautions, but the real noisemaker was Johnny Ridings, suffering a flat tire on the final lap 15 caution. That would set a green/white/checker finish due to the time limit expiring. Ridings would restart tail end of the lead lap, which was 7th, and in the final 2 laps, would charge all the way up to claim the 3rd spot. Finally, in the Limited Late Models, Pierce McCarter set fast time with a lap of 14.448. He would surrender the lead in turn 1 on lap 1 to Adam Beeler. Beeler would either slam the wall or come real close on lap 13. On lap 16, he would pull off the speedway, while at that very moment, Chase King powered around Pierce McCarter to claim 2nd, which King would then inherit the lead. But the lead was short-lived, as he JUST crossed the line to lead lap 17, would drop a driveshaft and coast around to turn 2, which ultimately handed the lead to McCarter. McCarter would lead the final 12 laps to claim the win. Brad Lowe finished up in 2nd but lodged a complete teardown protest. In the tech area, McCarter was declared legal.
