Heath Alvey Scores 604 Win

It was another great night of weekly racing action at Tennessee’s Action Track.

The Sportsman feature would be up first. The #5 of Curis Thomas would set fast time in qualifying and win his heat, putting him on pole for the A main. The green waved and Thomas put himself on point with Corey Cate, Reed Hatchett and Chandler Hickman in chase. The fight for the runner up spot was intense in the opening laps as Hatchett immediately put pressure on Cate. Thomas was setting sail out front but it was a battle for the fourth position as Colby Horner and David Beeler dueled it out. Horner would take the spot a couple laps later setting his sights on Cate. Just halfway and Thomas had caught the tail-end of the field putting guys a lap down. He’d have the rest of the race on cruise control and picked up the win.

Brady Lee would lead us to green for the Street Stock feature ahead of Shannon Emery, JD Smith, Josh Driskill and Chris Kelly. It was a great battle for the third spot in the opening laps as Josh Driskill worked over JD Smith. The caution would wave a lap later as the #7 of Kelly would loop his machine in turn four. Back under green and the #12 of Mark Brady began to inch his way forward moving past Driskill. However Driskill would slip back by the next lap taking the position back. Up front Lee was running away with it as he put some distance on Emery who still held down the runner up position. Lee would go on to score the victory.

He and Austin Maples would lead us to green in this one with Daniel Dyer, and Ricky Ritenour making up your top runners on the start. The #25 of Josh Ramsey had issues in his heat race but was on a drive from the rear of the field. Maples looked like he might have the best car but would pull off from the lead with mechanical issues. Burnett would pull away to a comfortable lead out front with Dyer now in the second position. Trouble for the #72 of Darryl Teffeteller who slowed with mechanical issues in the closing laps. Up front, it would be all Burnett as he would pull away and pick up another win.

Alvey would take over with Cardwell, Brad Seagle, Mark Green and AJ Hicks your initial top five. Bradley Lewelling got damaged in his heat race and had to start from the rear for the feature. He’d be on a mission as he quickly moved his way up through the fiend and was into the top five soon. Trouble for the #7 of Tiffany Hensley who went for a spin bringing out the caution. Back under green and trouble would also find the #59 of Shan Sise who looped his machine in turn two. Lewelling had now worked his way into the third spot with his sights set on Cardwell for second.
