With blistering heat in the area, it was time for Tennessee’s Action Track to host the first annual Bang Banger Nationals.

The Crown Vic Class would be up first for their 20 lap feature. Coby Scott and Chris Wilson would lead us to green ahead of Joseph McGill and Larry Hickman. Wilson would make his move early slipping past Scott into the lead. The top three would inch away as Larry Hickman pulled off track short of the finish with mechanical issues. Once under green, Courtney would put his #19 on point with Phillips in chase. The #92 of Cory Cate had a strong run going on early but would loop his machine in turn two ending his top five run. Courtney began to inch away but another caution for the spinning car of Logan Amy would slow the pace. Back under green it looked to be a battle between the top two as Courtney and Phillips picked their way through slower traffic in the final laps. Courtney would hold on to score another win.

May had chewed into the lead Burnette was enjoying bringing McGrew with him, making it a three car battle for the lead. The strong run Duncan had came to an end as he would go up in smoke just nine laps short of the finish. Zane May would pounce on the restart moving past Burnette in turn one taking over the lead.
