RACE NIGHT RECAP
Mod-Mini Green flag out for the Mod-Mini’s, and Terry Poore makes a return to the track, and takes over the top spot, but Cory Cate gets a bump from behind off turn 2, and Rocky McNabb slides into the 3rd spot, and Cate is looking inside for the lead, but can’t make the pass, and now McNabb looking inside for the 2nd spot, and he’ll keep the pressure going. Now off turn 4, McNabb claims 2nd here on lap 4, he’ll set his sights on Poore. McNabb closing in on Poore here as 6 laps are in the books. Meanwhile, our points leader has made the pass on Dave Lewis, but now Lewis turns William Tallent in turn 2 on lap 8, and we’ll be under caution. Green flag back in the air. McNabb on the tail of Poore as they head into turn 3, Cate in 3rd but Berkley is putting the pressure on him, but off turn 2, McNabb gets a run outside, and Poore slams the door, and McNabb tries down low, but he’ll have to fall back in line. Meanwhile, Berkley still putting the pressure on Cate, but McNabb looks inside down into turn 1 for the lead, but now he’ll slow in turn , and his night seems to be over. Poore now sailing into the sunset in this one. Checkers in the air, this one is over! Topless Modifieds Green flag in the air for the Topless Mods, Keith Gregory and Josh Driskill lead them into turn 1, but Driskill gets the jump off 2, and Gregory falls in line in 2nd, and caution flies here as Tyler James spins in turn 3. We’ll have a complete restart here, and Driskill gets the jump off turn 2 again, but caution flies again as Driskill jumped the start. 3rd time has to be the charm! Green flag again, Driskill gets the lead off turn 2 again, Gregory in 2nd, and Gregory gets loose in 4 and he’ll get hit a time or two, and now Clifton finds himself in 2nd, as Wayne James looks for the 2nd spot as caution flies here in turn 4 as Millsap has gotten into Tyler James, and Millsap is on the left door of Tyler James. Green flag back in the air, Driskill leads them into 1, Clifton in 2nd, but now Wayne James takes over the 2nd spot, he’s motored up tonight, as he’ll look inside off turn 4 on lap 4 for the lead, he’ll launch off the left side tires of Driskill, and now Clifton looks for the 2nd spot, he’ll fall in line though. Wayne James carrying the left-front tire, he isn’t having very good car control right now it seems, Gregory making a nice recovery, as he’s looking for the 3rd spot. Time has expired on the feature, and the checkers fly on lap 15, with Wayne James winning, Driskill in 2nd, and Clifton in 3rd. Super Trucks Green flag out on the Super Trucks, Robbie Comer takes over the lead off turn 2, Freddy Hillard trying to keep up with him, Comer leads off turn 4. Clyde Stanton in 3rd and Steve Hillard in 4th. Freddy Hillard looking for the lead, he’s not going to give it up. Comer still your leader at lap 6, Freddy Hillard in 2nd and Clyde Stanton in 3rd, throw a blanket over the top 3. Stanton on the inside for the 2nd spot here on lap 14, they beat and bang, and Stanton takes over the 2nd spot, he’s trying to run down the leader with 5 laps remaining. Stanton on the inside for the lead, but caution flies here as Steve Hillard and Rocky Ogle make contact and Steve Hillard spins off turn 2 and smacks the tractor tire and will have a lot of damage on his machine. Caution is out here on lap 17. Green flag in the air, Stanton in the outside, he’ll dive inside off turn 4, he’ll fall in line. Coming to the white flag, Stanton trying to make a run, he’ll get to the bumper of Comer into turn 3, he’ll dive inside, Comer gets sideways, Comer will edge Stanton by just a half car length at the checkers. Street Stocks Green flag in the air for the Street Stocks, Phil Davis and Bubba Long lead them to turn 1. Off turn 2 it’ll be all Davis so far, with Jason Ogle in 3rd. Brad Mills looking to mount a charge from the back. Jon Cook now on the inside of Ogle, as Long looking for the lead, Davis gets a little high, and that gives the lead to Long, as caution flies for Charlie Bates as he has a wheel issue. Since the caution flew just after the lead change, the running order reverts to the previous completed lap, which put Davis back in the lead. Green flag, Davis gets tight off turn 2, but he’ll manage to keep the lead. 6 laps in the books, and caution flies here on lap 7 as Bryan McDaniel spins in turn 1. Green flag back in the air. Cook jumps the start, but caution flies here as Justin McCarter spins on the frontstretch. Green flag back in the air again, Davis off with the lead again, Long in 2nd, Ogle in 3rd, he’ll get sideways in 2, give the 3rd spot to Cook, and now Ogle slows in 4, he obviously has a tire problem, and caution flies here in turn 4 on lap 9. Green flag in the air for the street stocks once again with 11 laps remaining. Davis and Long your leaders, Jon Cook looking for running room though, Jason Ogle evidently didn’t have a tire problem, he must’ve had an ignition problem. Caution flies here on lap 13 as McCarter spins in turn 2. Green flag in the air one more time with 7 laps to go. Cook all over Long, he’ll take the 2nd spot, but Long wants it back, they’ll race side by side with the white flag in the air. Checkers in the air, Davis wins, 2nd Long, and 3rd is Cook. Classics Green flag out on the Classics, and we have a strong field tonight! Joe Keck and Robbie Sands lead them into turn 1, Bart Baxter takes the 3rd spot, Andy Ogle on his inside, Keck gets turned off turn 4, and caution will fly and we’ll have a complete restart here. Green flag in the air, Sands takes off with the lead off turn 2, Keck in 2nd, Dukes in 3rd and Bart Baxter in 4th. Sands still your leader, Logan Dukes wants 2nd, he’ll look on the inside of Keck, but he’ll fall in line off turn 2 here on lap 5. Caution flies here again on lap 5 as Phil Blackford spins in turn 2. Green flag in the air, Sands with the lead, Keck and Dukes side by side for 2nd, Dukes takes 2nd, with Ogle wanting the 3rd spot, Keck gets into Dukes, Ogle has nowhere to go. Caution flies here on lap 8. Green flag in the air one more time. Sands in the lead, Dukes in 2nd, Jay Eubanks now finds himself in the 3rd spot, but caution flies as Bobby Pressley spins in turn 2. Green flag in the air one more time, Sands leads them into turn 1, Dukes follows as well as Eubanks. Adam Engel finds himself in the 4th spot, battle for the lead, Dukes all over Sands, he looks inside off turn 4, falls back in line, Eubanks waiting to pounce, and now Dukes on his inside here on lap 11. Eubanks gets into Dukes, and Dukes spins in turn 2, Marcus Baxter spins as well, and caution flies here on lap 11. Eubanks was deemed as the caution car as well, and Eubanks will join Dukes at the rear. Green flag in the air one more time, and Robbie Sands fires in turn 4, but we’ll stay green, but now caution flies here on lap 13, as Dukes spins on the frontstretch, Marcus Baxter spins in turn 4, and Pressley spin in turn 1 as Pressley has lost all kinds of fluid down the frontstretch. Apparently that’s how Dukes and Marcus Baxter spun, since a line of fluid stretches from turn 4 all the way to the machine of Bobby Pressley. Green flag in the air one more time, Green/White/Checkers since time has expired, Sands with the lead, Engel in 2nd, and 3rd is Scott Russell, white flag! Russell falls off the bumper of Engel, and now Bart Baxter spins Russell off turn 4, and Eubanks will sneak by to steal 3rd. Late Models Green flag in the air, and we have a full field of 20 late models! GREEN FLAG! Adam Beeler off with the lead, Bobby Giffin in 2nd, Brad Lowe now in 3rd. Points leader Josh Collins on the outside of Ruben Mayfield. All the guys giving themselves plenty of room, Collins up to the 6th spot, Beeler and Giffin your leaders, Clyde Stanton on the inside of Pierce McCarter, he’ll take over the spot. Justin Summers nearly runs into Barrett Terry, as Josh Yoder is loose, as we complete 8 laps. Beeler catching the rear of the field, Summers gets into Terry and spins off turn 4 and caution flies here on lap 10. Green flag in the air one more time, Beeler leads them into turn 1, Giffin in 2nd, he’ll try to make a run down low, he’ll try one more time off 4, but he’ll fall in line. Lowe in 2nd, just doesn’t seem to have the car tonight. Brian Ownby looking on the inside of Ryan King for the 4th spot, Ownby doesn’t get a good run, he’ll fall back in line. Pierce McCarter spins in turn 3, and caution flies here on lap 14. Green flag back in the air, Giffin all over Beeler, and Ownby makes a power move, and caution flies here as Hunter Best spins off turn 2. Green flag in the air one more time, Beeler leads them into turn 1. Giffin didn’t get as good a run through 1 and 2 as before, now Lowe looks to take 2nd, but the high line prevails for Giffin. McCarter has moved himself up to the 5th spot. Caution is out here on lap 18 as Andy Ogle slows to a crawl and Beeler almost runs through him! Green flag in the air, Lowe jumps the start just a tad, but he’ll keep it in 3rd, but now we have a pileup in turn 4 as Stanton runs through Mayfield, sending Mayfield into a spin cycle in front of the field. Caution is out here on lap 19. Green flag in the air one more time, Beeler leads them into 1, Lowe looks inside for 2nd, Giffin powers away, and caution flies again as Chase King spins in turn 1. Green flag in the air again, can we make some more laps! Beeler takes off with the lead, Giffin is coming through, he wants the lead, as Lowe slows up a little off 4, and the top 2 have checked out. King on the inside of Collins, as we now have 10 to go. Caution flies yet again here on lap 22 as Ownby slows to a stop in turn 4. Green flag is back out, Beeler with the lead, Lowe looking for the 2nd spot, he’s there. Giffin and Lowe trying to run down Beeler, and now Lowe trying to get the run, as caution flies here as Jason Cardwell spins, collecting Henry and Stanton. Green flag in the air one more time, 5 laps remain in this one. Beeler with the lead off turn 2, but here comes Giffin, he’s trying everything he can, but Beeler has a strong car, as caution flies here as Henry and Summers get together. Green flag in the air one more time, 4 laps to go. Beeler and Giffin your leaders, Lowe in 3rd, and Giffin trying to catch Beeler as we have 3 laps to go. Giffin looking inside, but that’s all he has right now is a peek. King wants around Lowe, with the white flag in the air. Beeler and Giffin your leader, they’ll finish 1 and 2, Lowe gets 3rd, Ryan King gets 4th. Pure Mini In Pure-Mini action, Dalton King would pick up another win on the season, with Anthony Singleton in 2nd, James Mitchell in 3rd, Mike Townsend came home 4th, with Richard Ford rounding out the top 5.
