RACE NIGHT RECAP

Crate Late Models
Green flag is out on the Crate Lates, Scott Gardner and Clyde Stanton lead them into turn 1, and Stanton takes over the top spot, but here comes Gardner, he’ll pull inside again but Stanton pulls away off turn 2. But Gardner is looking for room around, as the action is heating up behind them, as cars are all over the track looking for running room. There seems to be a dip in turn 1 that’s upsetting some of these cars. Caution flies here on lap 4 as Ryan King spins in turn 3.

Green flag back in the air, and Stanton leads them to the green. Gardner dives to his inside, he wants the lead back, but he’ll fall in line off turn 2. Justin Summers wants a piece of the pie, but he’ll drift high in 4 and fall off the bumper. Stanton still your leader, Gardner in 2nd and 3rd is Summers, but now the caution flies here on lap 10 as Scott Gardner gets up on his side in turn 1 and will take a moment to collect his thoughts.

Summers now finds himself in 2nd, with the green flag in the air. Stanton stands on it, and so does Summers, he wants the lead, but now caution flies again as Barrett Terry gets loose, and Brian Ownby taps him in turn 2, Gardner spins behind them to avoid, and Ownby and Terry will both go to the rear. Mack McCarter pulled off while that was going on, and he has substantial damage on the right side.

Green flag in the air with 15 laps remaining. Stanton takes off with the lead, Summers in 2nd, but caution flies here again as Ownby stops off turn 2. Green flag in the air once again, Stanton and Summers haul into turn 1, Summers about spins, but saves it, but he’ll give Welshan the 2nd spot, and here comes Welshan, he’s on a mad dash to the checkers here, he only has 1 car left to pass, does he or anybody have anything for Stanton? Stanton closing in on the lapped car of Dylan Lowe, he’s going to blow by Lowe. Stanton starting to lose some steam it seems. Welshan has caught him, as Dylan Lowe goes another lap down. Welshan trying to run down Stanton, but it seems nobody has anything for him. Checkers in the air, Stanton wins, Welshan 2nd, and Summers in 3rd.

Classics
Green flag is in the air and Logan Dukes takes off with the lead but Bart Baxter is hanging onto 2nd with Andy Ogle in 3rd. And that’s how they’ll finish!

Late Models
Green flag is in the air for our late model division, and $1,000 is on the line, who will take it, and what will happen!? We’ll know in 40 laps! We have lost a bank of lights in turn 3 and 4, but the drivers gave a thumbs up and said LETS GO! GREEN FLAG!! Josh Collins and Jason Welshan lead them down into turn 1. Welshan gets the jump in turn 1, and Collins rides in 2nd. 3rd is Clyde Stanton and 4th is Adam Beeler. Ross White is making some moves toward the back of the pack, as he seems to have a better car than a couple guys in front of him, but they’re side by side. Now they get single file and Ross White pulls on. Meanwhile, Welshan has driven away, as he’s a half straightaway from the rear of the field here on lap 5. He now has caught the rear of the field here on lap 6, he’ll put a lap on Barrett Terry, he’ll set his sights on Justin Summers, Welshan will bump into Summers, as Collins seems to be closing ever so slightly as Welshan puts a lap on Pierce McCarter as they head into turn 1 on lap 10. Scott Gardner is next up for Welshan, as Collins is trying to run down Welshan, but he doesn’t have anything for him just yet. Anthony White has moved up a little bit, he’s now on the inside of Rusty Ballenger. Caution flies here on lap 14 as Clyde Stanton slows to a stop in turn 4.

Green flag in the air, Welshan takes off again, he’ll pull away from Collins off turn 2, Jason Cardwell meanwhile is working on Anthony White, he’s on his inside off turn 2, they’ll race into turn 3, and off turn 4, give Cardwell the 4th position, he’ll now set his sights on Beeler, as the other White, Ross, almost gets into the wall, and now Welshan is a half straightaway from lapping cars again, as he’s just setting the pace tonight and has not been challenged once thus far. Anthony White slows in turn 4 and caution will fly here a lap shy of halfway.

Green flag back out, 21 laps remaining, and Welshan blows the field away again, as we see Cardwell needed that caution, he’ll look inside of Beeler off turn 2 on lap 20, he’ll stay on his inside and off turn 4, Cardwell takes 3rd. Now he has his sights set on Collins, and a tip of the hat has to be given to Andy Ogle, he’s currently in the 8th position and is doing a fantastic job tonight, he has excellent control tonight. Welshan meanwhile still your leader, Collins a long way back to 2nd, as Summers is having some issues off turn 2 here on lap 26, and now Ogle takes over the spot around Ryan King, as Ryan King slows and pulls off, but caution flies here on lap 28 as debris off the Ross White machine falls onto the speedway.

Green flag in the air, we have 12 laps remaining in this one. Does anybody have anything for Welshan? Can Cardwell sneak by Collins? We’ll find out in just a moment! Welshan rockets away yet again, as if Collins was still on the brakes. Cardwell gets a run on Collins, but he’ll drift high in turn 1 and 2. Welshan, followed by Collins, then Cardwell, and Beeler. Caution flies here as Summers smacks the wall in turn 1

10 laps remain in this one, they’ll get the green flag here. Welshan takes off again, if anybody was saving anything, it’s now go-time! Welshan takes off, but Collins doesn’t fall very far behind, as Cardwell looks inside of Collins, and now Welshan showing smoke, Collins and Welshan fighting hard for the win here, Collins down low, Welshan up high, they’ll battle through 1 and 2, off turn 2, Welshan drives into the right-side of Collins, and WHAT A POWER MOVE! Collins takes the lead now with 7 laps remaining. Welshan now has handling issues, he’s trying everything he can to get back to Collins and now Cardwell tries to by-pass Welshan off turn 2, but Welshan keeps the 2nd spot now with only 3 to go! Collins has driven away from Welshan, with the checkers in the air. This one is over! Collins wins, Welshan 2nd, and Cardwell 3rd! Collins and Welshan beat-and-banged for the lead, Welshan didn’t want to lose the win, and Collins wanted it. Collins had to wrestle the win, and I believe this was one of the best late model shows we’ve seen here this season, and if you weren’t here, you missed it!

Pure Mini
Green flag is in the air on this one with David Singleton taking the lead but Anthony Singleton is trying to get it. Lap 2 has them still battling it out on the backstretch and Anthony Singleton will spin in turn 3 and the caution will fly.

Green flag is back out with David Singleton easily taking the lead followed by Jordan Jensen and Jeremy Teffeteller in 3rd.
