Jason Cardwell Claims Weekly Racing Win

For the first time since 2021, weekly racing made its return to the 4-1-1 with six classes of racing action.

The Classic Car division would be up first for a 20 lap feature. After a photo finish last week, we knew we’d be in store for another great race. Mark Sise would put his #35 on point at the start ahead of Shaun Sise, Travis Ward and Zach Sise who was in the #02 machine this weekend. Ward would work the low line trying to get past Shaun Sise for the second spot. Mark Sise was inching away out front, but Zach Sise was set on go as he moved past Ward and into the third spot making it an all Sise top three. With just four laps left Zach Sise would slip past Mark and into the lead. He’d hold on to pick up his first Classic Car win of the year.

Next up was the 20 lap Sportsman feature. Trouble would show its face early in this one as the #07 of Devin Cardwell would go for a spin on the front stretch. For the second week in a row, he’d suffer a DNF early on. The #C11 of Roy Norwood Jr would have heavy right-side damage and have to seek attention from his crew before returning to the race. Back under green and the #11 of Tim Bounds would spin in turn one collecting Norwood Jr. Bounds would be done for the night with damage. Back under green and Seth Jolley had moved his way into the runner up spot with his sights set on Clayton Cooper who had led early. Just six laps in and he’d take over the top spot. Cooper had dominated the opening laps but would slip back through the top five as the laps ticked away. Jolley would hold on to score another win in an already very successful season at the 4-1-1.

The caution would wave early on as the #H1 of Jacob Hooks would spin in turn one. Back under green and Nance began to inch away while the fight was on for the second spot as Chris Coffey worked over Watson. Jerry Hux and Burchfield had their own battle for the fourth position. Brandon Muncey would loop his #31 machine in turn four but did a perfect 360 spin and kept going. Coffey kept the pressure on Watson for the runner up spot but they’d have to settle for second as Nance would pull away in the closing laps to score his first ever win at 411.

The green waved and the Cardwell’s showed the way ahead of Jesse Lowe who held down the third spot. The caution would wave as the #5 of Joshua Chesney would go for a spin in turn four. Taylor Coffman would pull his #30 off track under the caution with left front damage. The #7 of Tyler Price would also run into problems as he would slow on the restart with damage. He’d get service from his crew but wouldn’t return. Back under green and Cardwell had set sail as Jesse Lowe was all over Baily Cardwell for the runner up spot.
