It was two back to back days of packed racing action as the 4-1-1 held it’s annual post Thanksgiving Leftover event.
Cory Hedgecock came into the weekend as the defending Champion. Booger Brooks would pilot the #01 Machine and would set fast time in qualifying earning the pole for the 40 lap event. The green waved and it was intense from the start as Brooks, Hedgecock and the #05 of Chase Oliver went three wide on the start. Brooks would take control with Hedgecock, Oliver and Mack McCarter in chase. Michael Chilton the 2022 Iron-Man Champion was on the move as he powered his way up into the fourth spot with his sights set on the leaders. Brooks found himself in lap traffic until the caution waved on lap 22 for the #22 of Russell Ervin went for a spin in turn four. Back under green and Hedgecock would strike taking the lead away in lap traffic. Brooks seemed to be losing the setup on his #01 as he would drop back to the fourth position by race end. Jed Emert was having an incredible weekend sweeping both Sportsman features and now he’d crack the top three of the Leftover. The caution would wave again as the #44 of Chase King went for a spin. Hedgecock would pull away the second half of the feature to pick up his second straight Leftover win.

Trouble would find the #14 of Katelyn Atkins as she received heavy front end damage on the nose of her machine ending her day early. Back under green and it was a fantastic battle for the lead between Husky, Henry and Clark as they fought it out. The caution would wave again as the #8 of Williams Galloway went for a spin. David Clark would pull off track from his third place running position but would return after getting some work done on his #13 machine. Back under green and Husky began to inch away with Henry in his tire tracks. Clark had worked his way all the way back up to the top five as he battled with the #42 of Robbie Comer.
