Zach Sise Sweeps The Night

It was a very special Pink Out night at the 4-1-1 honoring those fighting breast cancer as well as those who lost their fight.

The Classic Car division was up first for a 20 lap feature with a very strong field of cars on hand. Shaun Sise would jump out to the early lead with Mac Lockhart, Will Carey and Charlie Bates the top five. With the race underway, Will Carey was putting on the pressure trying to wrestle the runner up spot away from Lockhart. Just behind him it was another tough battle between Mark Sise and Bates for the fourth spot. Sise was running away with the top spot while Lee Merritt was moving his way up. Merritt didn’t have the best qualifying lap but he was on go as he closed in on the battle for the second spot. Up front Sise would be in his own zip code as he cruised to the win.

The 602 class has been a very exciting class in the 2020 season and this one would be no different. Zach Sise was making his first appearance of the season in the division. The green waved and Sise put his #9 on point ahead of Booger Brooks, Curtis Thomas, Hayden Cardwell and David Miley. Thomas would break on the backstretch bringing out the caution and ending his night early. On the restart Brooks would throw a slider on Sise in turn two but Sise would respond with a crossover taking the lead back. It would be a rough night for the #27 of Steven Purkey who would bring out two cautions, the second of which would end his night as he smacked the turn two wall. Trouble would also find the #07 of Cardwell as he tagged the turn three wall hard. Back under green and the fight between Miley and the #11 of Lee Gray which sent both spinning on the front stretch. Miley would get his position back as the caution was called on Lee. Sise would inch away from Brooks to pick up the win.

The B-Hobby/Super Street division was up next and it was another great race. Josh Henry would start on the front row in his #B00. Brady Lee, Joe Freels, Rocky Ogle and David Beeler would be your front runners early on. David Clark was moving forward as he took his #XP21 towards the front moving into the top five. Freels had a great run going in his #5x but smoke started to trail from the back of his machine as the laps ticked away. Henry was pulling away out front but sparks started to flow from his #B00 and he would later pull off track with mechanical issues. Clark had now moved all the way up into the second spot in the final laps of the race. He’d come up short of the win as Brady Lee held on to pick up his second win of the season.

Sise would win the drag race off turn two putting his #9 on top ahead of Martin, Josh Henry, Brad Lowe and Rusty Ballenger. Mack McCarter had his work cut out for him coming from mid pack as he did battle with Matt Henderson. Sise was inching away out front but it was heated between Jensen Ford and Layne Clifton for the fifth position. Martin had eaten up the lead Sise built up as the two tried to pick their way through slower traffic. Martin would get caught up behind a slower car erasing the work he had done to catch the leader. Trouble for the #29 of Rusty Ballenger as he had gotten damage on the left side of his car causing a cut tire ending his night. Sise would drive away on the final restart to sweep the night.

Under green and Ricky Tinch would take the top spot with Jesse Rupe, Stroupe and Dustin Diden in chase. Stroupe was an absolute rocket as he was using the high line to move up into second. Tinch would no be able to keep the lead as he had to give it up to Stroupe. Trouble for Chase Lawson would slow the pace bringing out the caution.
