NeSmith Late Model J.T. Kerr Memorial this Saturday

13886293_10153996903404440_220858859777507661_nThe NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series returns to 411 Motor Speedway this Saturday, August 6 for the J.T. Kerr Memorial 40. The winner will pick up $4,000.

Some of the area’s top crate late model drivers are expected for this event. Former 411 regular Cory Hedgecock leads the series point standings heading into this weekend’s racing. Scott Dedwylder, Chase Edge, Ronnie Johnson, Marcus Minga, Michael Blount, Crossville’s Brandon Williams, plus a number of local favorites are expected to compete for Saturday’s $4,000 to prize.

Also racing will be sportsman for $700 to win, street stocks for $500 to win, open wheels for $600 to win, and classic cars. All other regular classes will be off Saturday.

General admission tickets are $15 for adults with kids 12 and under admitted free. Pit passes are $30 for adults, kids 12 and under are $15 with a signed release. Anyone with a ticket or an armband from the rained out date of this event may use it for admittance on saturday.

Pit gates and grandstand gates open at 4:00. The driver’s meeting is set for 6:30 followed by hot laps, qualifying, and racing.

An open practice session was scheduled for Friday night, but that has been cancelled due to heavy overnight rain on Thursday night.
