After and inspection of #71 Brian Courtney’s Sportsman engine today by a certified NeSmith Engine Builder. The engine was disqualified for unapproved GM parts as the rules call for. All avenues were taken in this process to come up with the correct ruling. Whether the parts were performance enhancing or not doesn’t matter. They must be GM parts. The top 3 cars were checked by the track. No individual protests were filed.
Therefore #2 Terry Poore has been declared the official winner of this past Saturday’s Sportsman race. All drivers will be moved up one position in the finishing order.
