RACE NIGHT RECAP

Mod-Mini
Green flag in the air for the Mod-Mini’s, and Michael Courtney and Rocky McNabb lead them into turn 1. McNabb gets the advantage off turn 2, give the lead to McNabb off turn 4, he’ll lead the first lap, but Courtney isn’t giving up. He’ll stay glued on the inside for the race lead, off turn 4, give the lead to Courtney, he’ll lead lap 2! Courtney the leader, McNabb in 2nd, Terry Poore in 3rd and Cory Cate in 4th. Tommy Metler riding in the 5th spot with points leader Dave Lewis directly behind him, as we complete lap 5. McNabb using every inch of the racetrack right now looking for grip and looking to run down the leader, who is now a half straightaway ahead. Poore hot on the heels of McNabb, as we complete lap 10. Courtney still out in front by over a straightaway now as we complete lap 15. Courtney has now caught the 6th and 5th place cars, as they are both battling for position, but now Courtney goes around both of them, as we complete lap 18. White flag in the air, and we have trouble for the race leader! With over a half straightaway lead, Courtney slows off turn 4, he’ll coast down the frontstretch, and here comes McNabb! McNabb blows by Courtney on the high side in turns 1 and 2, and now McNabb only has 2 more corners! Checkered flag in the air, McNabb steals the win at the expense of Courtney! Poore winds up 2nd, and 3rd will go to Cate!

Topless Modifieds
Green flag in the air for the Topless guys, Keith Gregory and Ronnie King lead them off turn 4, and Gregory gets the advantage. Johnny Ridings has a little trouble through 1 and 2, he’ll fall from 3rd to about 5th, while Gregory and King lead this thing, with Tyler James in 3rd, but now Ridings looking inside, give Ridings the 3rd spot now and he wants more, but now James smacks the turn 2 wall, as Gregory continues to lead, King in 2nd, Ridings in 3rd, Marvin Romines in 4th with Josh Driskill, the points leader, rounding out the top 5. Gregory continues to set a blistering pace now, as he’s a half straightaway ahead of King, and now Ridings challenges for the 2nd spot, and King holds tough off turn 2. Driskill on the inside of Romines, as Ridings has taken over the 2nd spot, but caution flies here on lap 7 as Romines hits the wall in turn 1.

Green flag back in the air, Gregory powers off turn 4, Ridings holds onto 2nd, while Gregory starts driving away, as King wants to challenge for the 2nd spot, but he won’t have a chance yet. He’ll now feel the pressure from Driskill from behind, as he’s fallen off a half straightaway from Ridings. Gregory still in command as we complete lap 10, with Ridings in 2nd, King in 3rd, and Driskill a very close 4th. Driskill still glued to the rear spoiler of King, as those 2 have fallen off from Ridings, while Ridings seems to be closing the gap slightly on the race leader Gregory. Driskill finally powers inside of King for the 3rd spot, but King running the high line keeps the 3rd spot as we have 2 laps remaining. 18 laps down, Ridings has closed the gap, he’s right on the spoiler of Gregory, Gregory gets a charge off turn 2, and with the checkers in the air, Gregory takes the win, Ridings in a close 2nd, while King rounds out the top 3!

Stanton with the advantage, but now Comer looks to his inside, with Rocky Ogle looking for the 3rd spot, now Cory Cate powers off turn 4 with the 3rd spot, Stanton leads lap 1. Comer in 2nd off turn 2, and 3rd is Cate. Ogle right on the heels of Cate for the 3rd spot, but he’ll have something break in his truck, he’ll pull off, the rear end appears to be broken, so now, Stanton leads, Comer in 2nd, Cate in 3rd. Nothing much happening in this one, checkers in the air, Stanton wins, Comer takes 2nd, and 3rd goes to Cate. With the 2nd place finish going to Comer, he has been declared the 2010 Super Truck champion!

Street Stocks
Green flag in the air for the Street Stocks, 17 cars are on hand, so it may be a great race or another caution parade like Sunday! Travis Reno and Jeff McLemore lead the field off turn 4. McLemore takes over the lead off turn 2, Reno in 2nd, but Andy Diggs battling hard for the 3rd spot. Phil Davis in the 4th spot, but caution flies as Dave Smith stalls off turn 4 here on lap 1. Reno showing smoke, but so far, he‘ll continue on.

Green flag back in the air, McLemore fires off with the lead, Reno right on the bumper of McLemore, Diggs in 3rd, and Davis in 4th. Reno looks inside in turn 1 for the lead, McLemore with the run, and now Diggs turns left under Reno, he’ll wash up a little bit, and Diggs powers inside Reno in turn 1, he’ll make contact with Reno, and the rear bumper comes flying off the machine of Diggs in turn 2 on lap 2 and we‘ll be under caution.

Green flag back in the air, 2 laps now in the books, McLemore the leader, Reno in 2nd, Diggs in 3rd. Diggs powers inside looking for 2nd, but Reno is up high, but now caution flies quickly as Tim England spins off turn 2, and caution flies again.

Green flag back in the air one more time, hopefully we can get a few laps in this time. McLemore the leader, Diggs still on the inside for the 2nd spot, but Reno gets the advantage, but caution flies as debris in turn 1, as a bottleneck in turn 2 sees Raymond Shepard give Mark Meadows the boot in turn 2, but caution was already out for debris.

Green flag back in the air, still only 3 laps in, McLemore the leader, but now Shepard drives inside England for the position, and England will get bumped into the machine of Mike Sizemore, and caution flies here with 5 laps in the books

Green flag back in the air, McLemore still your leader, Reno trying to hold onto 2nd, as we see Shepard pull off the speedway, Reno showing a little smoke, as now Larry Rudd almost goes for a ride in turn 2, he’ll gather it back up, and McLemore is blistering the field in this one, Reno in 2nd, Diggs in 3rd, and Davis in 4th as we complete lap 6. McLemore has a couple lapped cars he’ll have to deal with in his windshield, with one of them not having a good handle on their machine, as the infield is filling up with cars. Diggs takes over the 2nd spot, as he blows by Reno, and now Reno slows off turn 2, Davis takes the 3rd spot, Reno stalls in turn 3, and caution flies here on lap 10.

Green flag back in the air, time limit has expired on this feature, McLemore still in command, Diggs in 2nd, and Davis in 3rd. Meadows in the 4th spot, but now Smith looks to his inside as the white flag flies. McLemore off turn 4, he’ll take the win, Diggs in 2nd, and 3rd is Davis.

Despite Shepard not finishing the feature, Justin McCarter never could get his machine fired for the feature, so Shepard was declared the 2010 champion in Street Stocks!

Off turn 4, Lowe powers into the lead, he’ll lead lap 3, now Leach looks to stay glued to the bumper of Lowe, but Lowe is thinking differently. Meanwhile, back in the back, Justin Summers looking for room around Clyde Stanton, he’ll take the spot off turn 2, while Adam Beeler is challenging Henry, and now Ryan King takes over the 3rd spot, but caution flies here on lap 6 as Hunter Best goes around in turn 2.

Gardner meanwhile is on the attack of Henry, he pulls inside, but falls in line off turn 4. Summers making a nice charge, but caution flies here on lap 15 as Best smacks the turn 1 wall, and 2009 Champion Jason Cardwell spins in turn 3.

Lowe with the lead, Leach in 2nd, but as soon as the green flies, Danny Yoder spins in turn 1, Summers slams into him, Pierce McCarter slams into Summers and Yoder, and Robby Moses slams into Pierce McCarter and caution flies again and we’ll be under the red flag as Summers and Yoder are hooked together.

Green flag in the air for the late models once more, Lowe in the lead, Leach in 2nd, now Tipton charges into the 3rd spot, he might be a factor in this before it’s all said and done. He looks inside for the 2nd spot, but he’ll fall in line off turn 4 as we complete lap 17. Beeler behind him, and pulling away from Henry. Lowe still in command, Leach in 2nd, Tipton in 3rd, Beeler in 4th, and Henry rounds out the top 5. Collins starting to work his way forward, he’s around Clyde Stanton, he’s got his machine up on the top line, he looks outside Kenny Ford for the spot, and off turn 2, he’ll power inside, but Ford gets loose so he has to back off. Gardner now looking to challenge for the 5th spot, as we have 22 laps in. Collins looks outside for the position on Cardwell, as they both bypass Ford, Ford will slow down the backstretch, and crawl around the speedway, and finally gets into the infield. Lowe still in command, Leach in 2nd, Tipton in 3rd, Beeler riding in 4th, while Henry has pulled away for the 5th spot. Collins has made his way around Cardwell for the 8th spot. White flag flies on the field, Lowe a lap away from victory. Leach still riding in 2nd, Tipton in 3rd, Beeler in 4th, and checkers fly. Lowe takes the win, Leach in 2nd, Tipton takes 3rd!

Both drivers would be ok.

Green flag back in the air for the Pure-Mini, King continues to dominate, Mitchell in 2nd, Townsend now finds himself in 3rd, with Clifford Sands rounding out the field.
