Hedgecock Dominates Sweetheart

Over 150 drivers were on hand for the annual Sweetheart event highlighted by the Iron Man Super Late Models paying $5,000 to the winner.
The Sportsman division would be up first for their 20 lap feature. A strong field of over twenty cars were on hand to do battle for the fans. Addison Cardwell has been Mr 411 in the Sportsman class the past year or so and would once again start on the front row for the feature. Pole winner Bailie Lowe would lead the field to green ahead of Cardwell, Brad Seagle, Seth Jolley and John Adams. Jolley had a strong top five run going but would go for a wild spin on the backstretch and down into the infield bringing out the caution. Back under green and Wayne Rader who was making his return to the 4-1-1 after a long absence, had a hard fought battle with Adams. Cardwell was inching away out front but we started to hear some hiccups coming from the power plant as the laps ticked off. Seagle had chewed into the lead bringing Bailey Cardwell with him in the closing laps. Addison would hold on to score another win.
