Weaver Cruises to Topless Outlaw Win

After a few weeks off it was back to racing with the Topless Outlaws taking center stage for a big $5,100 to win 51 lap feature.

Shaun Sise has dominated the Classic division at 411 in 2020 so it was no surprise when he once again set fast time earning the pole for the 20 lap feature. The green waved and Sise put his #16 on point ahead of Mark Sise, Mac Lockhart, Shane Taylor and Michael Milsap rounding out the top five. The battle was on early between Lockhart and Taylor who both had strong runs going. Sise was pulling away out front until a caution for a spin by the #18 of Ritchie Overholser. Back under green and Lee Merritt was trying to work his way up through the pack as he turned up the heat on Taylor for the fourth spot. Shane Taylor would see his top five run come to an end as he backed it into the turn four wall ending his night. Lockhart would get around Mark Sise on the restart moving into the runner up spot. Shaun Sise would pull away in the final laps once again picking up the win.

Trouble early for the #5 of Jamie Stanley who crashed into the turn one wall. He would be uninjured but he would be done for the day. Back under green and Anthony White and Layne Clifton had a great battle for position in the back half of the top 10. Carder Miller was ripping the high line coming off turn four as he tried to pick his way up through the pack. Eli Beets had found the back of the #9 of Zach Sise for the fourth spot. The top three had put some distance on the rest of the pack as the laps ticked off. Martin found himself in some lap traffic allowing Weaver to close in on him for the lead. The caution would wave late for the #23 of Layne Clifton who lost a right rear tire and backed into the turn one wall. Austin Langley would pull off track under the caution and retire for the rest of the event. Greg Martin would hold off Cameron Weaver to pick up the win.

Another caution this time for the #43 of Jacob Hall who tagged the turn two wall ending his day. More trouble for the #88 of Parker who would go for another spin. This would be his second caution so he had to retire for the rest of the race. A hard crash for the #26 of Andy Ogle who went head on into the turn one wall bringing out the red flag. The leader Miller began to have some smoke trail from the back of his #15 but it didn’t seem to slow him down. King came into the day looking to lock up the 2020 Topless Outlaw Championship and he was off to a good start as he ran top five early on. Hedgecock had found something in his #23 as he moved his way past Johnson and into the top three. Trouble for the #30 of Ryan King who pulled off track early retiring for the rest of the day. Hedgecock had now worked his way into the second spot behind Weaver. The #27 of Brad Berry would bring out the caution as he creeped to a stop. Knuckles had a great run going early but as the laps ticked off he looked to have lost the handle on his #21K as he slipped back through the top five. Ryan Watson would take the lead on the start with Pete Wright, Joe Freels, Dalton King and Skylar Douglass your top five. The caution would wave for a wild crash between the #5 of Tim Kilby and the #18 of Dale Brummett. The two got together going into turn one with the #18 getting airborne. Both drivers were okay but were done for the day. A fantastic race for the lead between Watson, Freels and Wright. Douglass would loop his #14 on the exit of turn two bringing out the caution. Watson seemed to be getting a push on his #11 and coming off turn four he lost the handle allowing both Freels and Wright to get past him.
