Jesse Lowe Wins A Wild Crate Feature

It was back to weekly action at Tennessee’s Action track in front of a packed crowd.

The 602 Late Model division would be the first up doing battle in a 20-lap feature. Curtis Thomas had a wild crash the last time he was at the 4-1-1. He would start on the front row of the feature alongside David Miley. The green waved and Thomas put his #5 on point ahead of Miley, Jeremy Broome, Gray Lee, and Lee Branch your top five. Branch would have some trouble and went for a spin early on ruining his chance for a strong finish. Gray Lee picked up the win the last time he was at 411 and had another strong run going as he battled for the runner up spot. Leader Thomas would slow with engine issues bringing out the caution and ending his night. Back under green the battle for the lead was on as Broome worked the low line trying to get the top spot. Eventually Broome would make the pass moving Miley back to the second spot. A late caution would wave as the #9 of Dillon Peterman, the #85 of Branch and the #63 of Michael Kelly would all crash on the front stretch. After cleanup it was a short sprint to the finish. Broome would hold on to pick up his first win of 2020.

The green waved and chaos would show its ugly head almost immediately as the #71 of Wendell Williams got sideways and collected the #BR549 of Charles Moffitt sending both cars down into the infield. Moffitt would be done for the night with heavy front-end damage. Back under green and your top five on the start were Lowe, Josh Henry, David Beeler, Sam Burgess and Ryan Watson. The damage from earlier would end the night for the #71 of Williams as he slowed a couple laps later. Josh Henry would chew into the lead built up by Lowe until a caution on lap 10 for the #3 of Beeler. Lowe would hold on to pick up the win.

Zach Sise would set fast time in qualifying earning the pole for the 25-lap feature alongside Cory Hedgecock. The green waved and Sise drove in deep and came out with the lead ahead of Hedgecock, Rusty Ballenger, Jesse Lowe, and Terry Poore. Just outside the top five would see a battle between the #73 of Trevor Sise and the #0 of Ross White. The top three of Sise, Hedgecock and Lowe was heating up as you could throw a blanket over all of them. Hedgecock was closing the gap quickly on the leaders as they caught the tail end of the field. Hedgecock would power his way into the lead. The caution would wave shortly after as third place driver Ballenger spun with a cut left rear tire. Hedgecock and Sise would have a heated battle for the lead until the two tangled on a restart. Hedgecock would exit his car furious with Sise. Sise would go on to score the win, however he would have a post-race altercation with Rusty Ballenger and would be disqualified. The win would end up going to Jesse Lowe.
