5th Annual Hangover race on January 1, 2015

hangover700Ring in the new year at 411 Motor Speedway with the 5th annual Hangover race on Thursday, January 1 presented by CT Promotions. This year’s edition will be highlighted by the super late models competing for $4,000 to win.

411 promoter Mitch McCarter decided to up the ante on the upcoming Hangover by bringing in the super late models. Racers from across the area will make their way to 411 Motor Speedway for this annual events. Also racing on January 1 will be the sportsman, street stocks, and mini stocks.

There is a $200 bonus for the highest finishing crate late model in the Hangover and another $200 bonus for the highest finished steel head late model.

Weight and spoiler rules for the event are as follows, in accordance to 2015 Southern Nationals Bonus Series rules:  Open Motors- 2,350 lbs. and 8” spoiler; Steel Block/Aluminum Head-SPEC Motor Only- 2,300 lbs. and 8” spoiler with 12” sides; CT525 Motors- 2,250 lbs. and 8” spoiler; ALL Steel Motors/Crate Engines- 2,250 lbs. and 8” spoiler with 12″ sides.  There will also be a one pound per lap, plus five more pounds, burn off in last chance heats and A-Main.  Any driver utilizing a HANS device will receive a 30 pound weight break and any car that has a working fire extinguisher on board will receive a 20 pound weight break.

Tire Rule: Hoosier 1350/1600 and American Racer 48/56.

Pit gates will open at 10 a.m. and grandstand gates will open at 11 a.m. General admission tickets are $18 for adults with kids 12 and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $35 for adults, kids 12 and under are $15 with signed release. The driver’s meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. with hot laps and racing to follow.

Start off the new year at Tennessee’s Action Track on January 1st.
