Another great night of racing has concluded at the 411 Motor Speedway! As always, we’d like to showcase our feature winners: Rocky McNabb in Mini Stock, Adam Engel took his first win in Street Stock. Shane Taylor grabbed his 2nd win of the season in Modified. David Miley stole the checkers in Thunder & Lightning, and the final feature winner of the night was Matt Henderson taking the checkers in Limited Late Model.
Join us again this coming Saturday August 10th for another great night of racing action! All classes (including Classic) will be in action. Also, join us on August 17th for another kids night, sponsored by Tennessee State Bank. We’ll have kids bike races, coin toss, candy toss as always, they’ll have their money machine there, and best of all, it’s also Back 2 School night, where all students grades K through 12 get FREE admission into the grandstands!

Mini Stock
Rocky McNabb and Lee Merritt your front row, ready to go, green flag! McNabb with the jump off 2, Merritt in 2nd, Keith Sands in 3rd. William Tallent and Tommy Metler side by side for 4th, Tallent claims that spot, now Bryant Idles goes for a slide off 4, caution flies here on lap 2.
Green flag back in the air, McNabb with the lead off 2, now Metler looks around the high side on Sands, now he powers inside on Sam Burgess and does a slidejob, now Burgess powers back inside into 3, side by side. Next lap, Metler makes the pass. Burgess now with his hand in the air, he slows. Up front, McNabb shows the way, Merritt in 2nd, Tallent hanging onto 3rd but now Metler is inside on Jeff Thatcher. Metler falls in line, now a couple laps later peeks inside again on Thatcher. McNabb out to a half straightaway lead over Merritt, then another half back to Tallent. Now caution flies as Sands and Mike Townsend get together in 2. Caution here on lap 13.
Green flag back in the air, McNabb and Merritt pull away from the field, Tallent in 3rd with Thatcher still hanging onto the 4th spot over Metler. Now Merritt slows and pulls into the infield here on lap 18. Checkers on this one, McNabb takes the win over Tallent and Thatcher.

Street Stock
Darrin Busler and Adam Engel your front row, ready to rock, green flag! Engel off with the jump off 2, he’s got a mirror full of Dale Watson, Busler back to 3rd, Tracy Wolfe the next car, then it’s Scott Atkins and David Price. Mike Williams Jeff and Gunter round out the field. Engel showing the way, he’s opened a gap up over Watson, as it’s anybody’s race for the top 4. Wolfe now on the inside of Busler, falls back in line. 5 laps now complete as Engel continues to show the way. Engel still out in front, Watson though closing the gap slightly, as the top 2 has pulled away from Busler. Smoke now visible from the Wolfe machine. Watson now hot on the heels of Engel, within a couple car lengths now. Atkins slows off turn 4, he’ll finally stop and bring out the caution here on lap 10.
Green flag back in the air, Watson peeks inside on Engel off 2, can’t make it stick, falls in line, now Wolfe around Busler, sets his sights on Watson, pulls inside, can’t make the pass as he falls in line behind Watson. Engel the leader, Watson about a half car length behind. Lap 13, off turn 4, side by side for the lead as Watson pulls inside, can’t make the pass though as again he’ll fall in line. Wolfe now showing more smoke, wearing out Watson into 1, but Engel hanging tough. Watson now pulls inside on Engel, they make contact, Watson slows into 1 with a flat, caution flies here on lap 17.
Green flag back in the air, Engel now with a new 2nd place man on his tail, it’s Wolfe. Now off 4 Wolfe powers inside for the lead. Engel hanging tough on the outside. Coming to the white flag, Engel hanging tough. Off 2, he’ll keep the gap, Wolfe will try into 3, can’t make it happen and Engel takes the win over Wolfe and Busler.

Modified
Josh Evans and Shane Taylor your front row, ready to roll, green flag! Taylor with the jump off 2, Evans in 2nd, William Hux in 3rd. James Cole just behind him with Gina Allen and Johnny Ridings rounding out the field. Looks like Ridings has shaken his machine down from this heat race trouble as he powers around Allen and Hux, now powers inside on Cole, give Ridings the 3rd spot. Taylor though has all but checked out, Evans in the 2nd spot as Ridings begins to reel him in. Ridings to the rear spoiler on Evans, pulls inside into 1, give the 2nd spot to Ridings with 5 laps complete, but he’s a half straightaway behind at this point. Ridings has left Evans behind as Taylor continues to show the way. Halfway home, Taylor still has a straightaway lead over Ridings with Evans in the 3rd spot. Taylor now closing in on the 3rd place car, that’ll hold him up as Evans gets loose, that allows Ridings to close in, but Ridings won’t chance it as he uses extra caution. Checkers in the air on this one, Taylor takes the win over Ridings and Evans.

Thunder & Lightning
David Kerr and David Miley your front row, ready to roll, green flag! Miley with the jump off 2, Kerr in 2nd, Steve Hillard in 3rd, now Rocky Ogle around him, Logan Whitis looks inside on Hillard, Robbie Comer looking around Landon Williamson, powers inside on Whitis, now inside on Hillard, looks like his troubles have went away as Comer is now in 4th. Miley, Kerr, and Ogle your top 3 here as they click off lap 4. Miley clicking off fast laps as he’s left Kerr about a straightaway behind, he’s under fire now from Ogle as Comer closes in. Miley clicks off lap 10. Miley now has some lap traffic to contend with, but they heed the layover flag and Miley is able to make his way around. Kerr in the 2nd spot hanging tough as Whitis shows smoke. He’ll slow and pull into the infield. Miley still showing the way over Kerr, Ogle, and Comer. Now Comer and Ogle make contact off 4, debris on the track, Ogle with a flat. Caution here on lap 17.
Green flag back in the air, Miley shows the way off 2, Comer in 2nd, Kerr in 3rd. Comer chasing down Miley, into 3 peeks inside off 4, white flag in the air. Miley has the preferred line off 4 as he pulls away, into 3, Comer stays in line off 4 checkers and it’s Miley with the win over Comer and Kerr.

Limited Late Model
Cory Hedgecock and Matt Henderson your front row, ready to rock this place, GREEN FLAG! Henderson off 2 with the lead, Hedgecock in 2nd, Jason Cardwell on his outside, Rusty Ballenger inside on Brad Lowe, as Ross White looks inside on Jason Manley. Brad Seagle around Stanley Donahoo for the spot. Henderson still showing the way a slap traffic isn’t too far ahead, Lowe sets his sights on Cardwell. Henderson down to the inside on lap traffic, Hedgecock nearly plows into Mitchell Childress, Henderson will earn an advantage now as Hedgecock is 3-wide with lap traffic. Cardwell on his heels, now Lowe pulls inside and he’ll sneak around. Donahoo around Ryan King for position, as Henderson still shows the way. 9 laps now complete as Hedgecock has gotten around all by 1 lapper as he tries to reel Henderson back in. Terry Poore around in turn 2 and caution flies here on lap 10.
Green flag back in the air, this one has been an exciting one as lap traffic factored into the challenge for the lead. Henderson leads the charge into 1, off 2 he’s got the lead over Hedgecock, now Manley gets into the back of Cardwell, around goes Cardwell. Heavy front-end damage to Cardwell’s machine, his night will be done. Caution here on lap 10.
Green flag back in the air, Henderson shows the way off 2, Hedgecock in his mirror as White and Seagle battle side by side, now Poore and Donahoo tangle, that collects Childress and Raymond Shepard. Still lap 10.
Green flag back in the air, Henderson off 2 with the jump, Hedgecock around Lowe, now Ballenger inside Lowe, falls back in line. White and Seagle battle, now Seagle slows off 2, caution here on lap 12.
Green flag back in the air, Lowe with a good jump into 1, slides up in front of Hedgecock off 2, give Lowe the 2nd spot, now Hedgecock inside on Lowe to try to reclaim the 2nd spot, can’t make it happen this time. White up to the 4th spot, Ballenger just behind him. Manley working his way back up through the field nicely, now White with a slide into 1, Ballenger to his inside. Ballenger now around White, and caution flies off 4 as Childress is around. 16 laps complete.
Green flag back in the air, just a little past halfway here in this feature. Henderson powers into 1, as Hedgecock gets a good restart and he’ll slide up off 2 with the 2nd spot, Lowe powers inside and around Hedgecock on the bottom!! Now Hedgecock peeks inside on Lowe, can’t make it happen and falls back in line. White now outside on Ballenger, he’ll complete the pass and steal away 4th. Henderson, Lowe, Hedgecock, White, and Ballenger your top 5. Ballenger running the low line, White up high. Manley looking for room around Ryan King powers inside but can’t make it stick. Hedgecock now working the low line, looking for a way around Lowe, but now caution as Brandon Gardner is around in 4.
We’re within 10 laps remaining, so it’ll be a single-file restart. The heavy guns are locked and loaded, they’re ready for an 8-lap shootout, green flag back in the air! Lowe peeks inside on Henderson, can’t make it happen this lap, now Hedgecock pulls inside on Lowe, off turn 2 he’ll slide up in front of Hedgecock, now looking into turn 1 I catch the last half of a pileup, as Shane Roberts, Ryan King, Gardner, Poore, Chase King, and Seagle all involved.
Green flag back in the air, Henderson leads the charge into 1, as White tries to power outside on Lowe, White gets into the wall, as Hedgecock pulls inside on Henderson. Side by side for the lead off 4! Hedgecock down low, slides it into 1 on the inside of Henderson. Henderson hanging tough on the outside off 2, and into 3 Hedgecock looks to mount a run. Now Hedgecock challenging for the lead once more off 4, this time white flag flies! Henderson pulls away off 2 and he’ll cruise to the win. Checkers on this one, Henderson takes the win over Hedgecock and Lowe.
