Gregory, Singleton, and Reno power from last to claim wins

Great racing was seen on a very slick 411 Motor Speedway, where drivers had to manage throttle control to claim wins. In Topless Modified, Keith Gregory blasted from dead last to take the win. Next up was Mini Stock where David Singleton would power from dead last to win. The streak of features with the winner coming from the rear was snapped when Ryan King won from the pole in NeSmith Crate Late Model action. Next up was the Thunder & Lightning where Robbie Comer would pick up the win. In Street Stock action, Travis Reno would blast from dead last to claim the win, and the final feature of the night was the Limited Late Model where Josh Collins launched from the pole and lapped up to 4th place en-route to the victory.

Another great night is coming up on Saturday August 4th! Limited Late Model, NeSmith Crate Late Model, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, Topless Modified, Mini Stock, and Classic will be in action!

Topless Modified
Josh Driskill and William Hux side by side off turn 4, they’re ready to roll, GREEN FLAG! Driskill shows the way off turn 2, Hux in the 2nd spot, Marvin Romines in 3rd, now Hux gets sideways off 2, now Keith Gregory powers around Johnny Ridings, now Driskill has spun off turn 2 as Romines almost spins as well. Caution here on lap 2.

Green flag back in the air one more time, track surface is certainly slick tonight. Romines the leader, Hux in 2nd, he has a bobble in 2, now Gregory powers around him, now Ridings in the 3rd spot, as Gregory tries to chase down Romines. Gregory now dives inside off turn 4, give the lead to Gregory but Romines loops it in turn 2. Caution here on lap 5.

Green flag in the air, Ridings now up to the 2nd spot as he has his mirror full of Mike Lewis. Driskill up to the 4th spot as he reels in Lewis, looks inside off 4, dives down low into 1, falls in line off 2 as Hux gets sideways off 2. Gregory your leader, Ridings in 2nd, Driskill now pulls inside on Lewis off 2, continues the challenge off 4, almost makes contact into 1, they’re still side by side. Gregory a straightaway lead but now Lewis goes hard into the wall in turn 1, caution flies here on lap 10.

Green flag back in the air, Driskill now moves into the 2nd spot as he chases down Gregory. Gregory continues to show the way with 5 laps remaining. Driskill way up in the loose stuff trying to find grip to reel in the race leader, but nothing doing, Gregory claims the win, Driskill takes 2nd, and 3rd goes to Ridings.

Mini Stock
Shane Taylor and Jeff Thatcher ready to roll, GREEN FLAG! Thatcher quickly jumps to the lead into 1, Taylor in 2nd, Keith Sands in 3rd, Rocky McNabb down low on his inside off 4, remains side by side off 2. David Singleton working through traffic as he had trouble in the heat race, he’s slicing and dicing his way through the field. Taylor up high in 4, Keith Sands and McNabb close in, Keith Sands with his hands full, but Taylor gets away slightly as Thatcher enjoys a huge lead here with 5 laps complete. David Singleton now dives inside his brother into turn 3, McNabb pulls inside but caution flies here on lap 5 as Clifford Sands spins in turn 2.

Green flag back in the air, Thatcher pulls out to a big lead again into 1, as David Singleton pulls inside McNabb off 2, dives inside Keith Sands, claims 2 spots in 2 turns. David Singleton now pulls inside Taylor into turn 3 as they both close quickly on Thatcher, now David Singleton has a bobble into 1, now into 3 he dives inside for the lead, side by side off 4, off 4 they remain side by side, but David Singleton takes the lead. McNabb now around Taylor, he reels in Thatcher, peeks outside, drives to the bumper of Thatcher, they get hooked up, and Thatcher and McNabb both get into the wall in turn 3. Caution here on lap 10.

Green flag back in the air, David Singleton mashes the loud pedal, he’ll blast into turn 1. Sam Burgess now inside Anthony Singleton off in turn 2 as Clifford Sands spins in turn 2. Caution here on lap 10.

Green flag back in the air, David Singleton in the race lead, Taylor in 2nd, Burgess in 3rd, McNabb closing in on his rear bumper into 3, now Taylor gets high in 4, Burgess looks inside, now McNabb gets a run off 2, Taylor loses power, McNabb has nowhere to go and makes contact, but McNabb continues on. McNabb now closing in on Burgess, turns left into 3, side by side off 4! 5 laps remaining in this one. McNabb looks inside Burgess off turn 2 with 4 laps remaining, now caution flies here with 4 to go.

Green flag back in the air, only a few cars remain in this one. David Singleton your leader, Burgess in 2nd, McNabb in 3rd, now McNabb powers inside off 4 as the lights kick off in turns 3 and 4, but we should be ok. McNabb now finally makes his way around Burgess, now Burgess looks inside off 4, white flag. David Singleton takes the win, McNabb gets 2nd and 3rd goes to Burgess.

NeSmith Crate Late Model
Ryan King and Adam Beeler side by side, ready to roll, GREEN FLAG! They remain side by side off turn 2, King powers off 4 with the lead. Beeler up high as Cory Hedgecock dives inside into 1, can’t make it stick. Beeler has a loose machine it looks like as King starts to slowly pull away. Beeler seems to have a better handle now, but he’s got a mirror full of Hedgecock. Marty Calloway trying to chase down Trevor Sise, dives inside off 4. Jason McCall now inside Chris Ritchey off 4, falls back in line. King pulling away as Beeler is in the 2nd position as Hedgecock still stalks him. Calloway has completed the pass on Sise as Ritchey gets loose off 4, now McCall powers around him for position. King has a handle on his machine as he continues to pull away as Ritchey pulls in off 2. Beeler in 2nd, Hedgecock in 3rd, Calloway in 4th with Sise and McCall rounding out the field. Hedgecock now has to watch the 2nd place car pull away as his handling as went out the window on him. Calloway starting to reel in Hedgecock. King still in control as he catches up with the rear of the field. Hedgecock goes way low through 1 and 2, as he’s maintained the lead over Calloway, but checkers are in the air, King takes the win, Beeler comes home 2nd, and 3rd goes to Hedgecock.

Thunder & Lightning
Robbie Comer and Freddy Hillard lead the field to the green flag! Comer off turn 2 and powers to the lead, Rocky Ogle now in the 2nd spot with Hillard back to 3rd. Apaches Quinton just behind them. Bradly Lewelling now dives inside on Scott Atkins, they touch slightly as Atkins gets loose, now Jr Garrett and Tommy Huston spin in turn 1. Caution here on lap 3.

Green flag in the air one more time, Comer mashes the throttle as Warren McMahan jumps the start and passes Atkins before the flagstand. Comer your leader, Ogle in 2nd with Hillard in 3rd. Lewelling now in the 5th spot with McMahan just behind him. Quinton looking for room around Hillard. Quinton powers outside on Hillard, but can’t make it stick, Hillard pulls away slightly, now Garrett goes around in turn 3 once again, Huston around to avoid again.

Green flag in the air one more time, Comer again powers away with the lead, Ogle in 2nd, Hillard in 3rd, Lewelling now powers inside Quinton into 3, they almost make contact, they continue on. Quinton trying to get around Hillard but so far can’t make anything happen, now Quinton slows into 1, pulls in off 2. Comer the leader, Ogle in 2nd, Hillard 3rd, Lewelling up to 4th with McMahan just a few hundred feet behind him, but now Garrett goes around in turn 3. 15 laps complete.

Green flag in the air for a 5 lap shootout as Quinton has rejoined the field. Lewelling trying to find a way around Hillard, but Hillard is a tough truck to pass tonight. Checkers in the air on this one, Comer takes the win, Ogle comes home 2nd and 3rd goes to Hillard. After the feature, Hillard was disqualified for an unknown reason, which handed Lewelling a 3rd place finish.

Jason Ogle and Jeff McLemore lead the field off turn 4, green flag in the air! Ogle with the jump off turn 4, but Travis Reno is making noise as he powers around 6 cars on the first lap!! Ogle the leader, Dale Watson in 2nd, McLemore in 3rd, Shay Loveday in 4th but not for long as Reno powers inside him, he’ll lean on Loveday, give 4th to Reno, now Reno powers inside and around McLemore, now Watson inside Ogle for the lead off 2, as 3 cars are around in turn 4. Jeremy Hershner, Dale Jackson, and Robert Murphy are the cars that spun.

Green flag back in the air, Reno quickly goes to work and dives inside on Watson into 1. Loveday inside McLemore as Watson pulls inside on Ogle off 4, falls in line. He’s got a mirror full of Reno as Watson again pulls inside, can’t make it happen. Atkins looking inside on Jr Merriman, he’ll powers around Chris Nix, Merriman follows through, up front, Reno powers around Watson, sets his sights on Ogle. Atkins closing in on Lawson now for position, he’ll have a bobble into 1, now Reno dives inside for the lead into 3, Ogle tough up on the high side, Lap car may factor into the lead battle. Does, Ogle pulls away slightly over Reno, Reno powers inside, Ogle bobbles into 3, give the lead to Reno. Watson now looking to capitalize on the move by Reno and pulls inside Ogle into 3, they lean on each other off 4, Watson gets the 2nd spot, now Ogle pulls inside, almost make contact, Ogle lifts, and Loveday does a 360 in turn 4, and caution flies here on lap 12. Murphy also around in 2. Ogle pulls into the infield on this caution.

Green flag back in the air, Reno with the horsepower off 4, leads into 1. Atkins now around McLemore for the 3rd spot, sets his sights on Watson but now Nix goes around in turn 2. 14 laps complete.

Green flag back in the air one more time, Reno again with the power off 4, Watson hot on his heels into 1, now peeks inside as Loveday and Merriman get together, now Watson peeks inside off 4 for the lead, falls back in line off 2. Atkins trying to chase down Watson, but Watson pulls away slightly. Checkers in the air, Reno takes the win, Watson comes home 2nd, and 3rd goes to Atkins.

Limited Late Model
Josh Collins and Layne Clifton ready to go to work, GREEN FLAG! Collins powers into turn 1 with the lead, Clifton pulls outside Collins, falls back in line. Rusty Ballenger in 2nd, Clifton in 3rd, Jason Cardwell and Eric Tipton go to battle as Dalton King and Jimmy Calloway get together. Tipton around Cardwell for the position, now looks inside Clifton for 3rd as 3 laps are complete. Collins out front, Ballenger in 2nd, Tipton inside Clifton, powers into 3 with 3rd. Cardwell looking to reel in Clifton and make his way around him as they sail into 3. Tipton almost running into the infield trying to find grip as he’s way down low, as Cardwell powers inside Clifton for position. Collins the leader, Ballenger in 2nd with Tipton and Cardwell the next 2. Clifton and Bayless the next 2 and the final 2 is Calloway and King. King now gets high into 1, almost into the loose stuff, hangs on and continues on. Collins in control as he’s got a half straightaway over Ballenger, now King around Calloway as it sounds like Calloway has lost a cylinder or two. Calloway continues on however, but now pulls in in turn 3 here on lap 17. Collins still showing the way, Ballenger in 2nd, Cardwell has powered around Tipton for the 3rd spot, he’s reeling in Ballenger as Tipton slows and pulls in in turn 3. Now 10 laps remaining. Cardwell on a rail up high, continues to reel in Ballenger but he may be a little too far behind to make anything happen as there’s 8 laps remaining. Collins out in his own zip code, Ballenger in 2nd with Cardwell and Clifton in 3rd and 4th. Now Butch Bayless your 5th place car goes a lap down to Collins as more than a straightaway separates the front two with 5 to go. Now King goes around in turn 4, caution here on lap 27.

Green flag in the air, Collins mashes the pedal through the firewall as he tries to drive away from Ballenger, Ballenger hangs tough off 2, dives inside into turn 3, can’t make it happen this time, 2 to go. Ballenger dives down low into 3, white flag in the air, still can’t close the deal. Off turn 4, checkers in the air, Collins with the win, Ballenger in 2nd and 3rd goes to Cardwell.
