Jordon Horton and Brad Hall $2k richer

Another night is in the books for the 2011 schedule at 411 Motor Speedway, and the season is quickly winding down! Friday Night was our Inaugural Fall Rumble at the track and it was a huge success! A ton of great racing as well as a ton of fans! Greg Estes set fast time Mod Street but had the lead in the feature when his car stalled. He came from the back and was working on the race lead when he stalled once again, ending his night. Warren McMahan seemed to be well on his way to victory until broken right-front suspension ended his night late, handing the $2,000 victory to Jordon Horton! In Late Models, Brad Hall set fast time–literally, FAST time, by laying down a never-before-seen lap of 13.859! He would easily cruise to the victory in the feature unchallenged all night for the $2,000 check!

Next up on the schedule is the 2011 Crowning of Champions night! We’ll run single features (previously scheduled double features), and honor the top 5 points champions in every division! So clear your schedule! We’ll start EARLIER on Saturday, ALL gates open at 3p, drivers meeting at 5:00p, and hotlaps at 5:15p!

Modified Street
Greg Estes and Warren McMahan lead the field to the green, yellow’s gone and the GREEN IS ON! Estes with the jump into turn 1 but now Bobby Joe Robinson goes around, Dale Watson and Jon Cook also involved. Caution will be out.
Green flag back in the air, but now we have a pileup in turn 2, Tyler Brown gets tagged in the left-rear, and most of the rest of the field is piled up, at least 8 cars involved.

3rd time has to be a charm, ready to roll, green flag one more time! Estes with the jump again in 1, Bradly Lewelling up high in the marbles, he’ll fade through the field as they drive off 2, but now the green flag is waved off, so we’ll try again.

Green flag back in the air, and Estes with a jump into turn 1. McMahan in 2nd, Lewelling in 3rd with Jordon Horton now in 4th, but now more trouble in turn 3 as Robbie Buchanan goes around, Tony Horton will also be involved, so we’re going single file. Now an extended period under caution here as track officials have to sort out the running order. So many cars pulled off under the previous green flag, so officials have to sort out who pulled off, when they pulled off, and get the running order right.

Green flag in the air, Estes powers away with the lead, McMahan in 2nd, Lewelling in 3rd, but now Estes slows from the race lead into turn 3. McMahan the new leader, Lewelling in 2nd, but now Estes slows to a stop on the entry to turn 1 and caution flies. Tough break for our fast time qualifier, lost power when coming around to lead the first lap and slowed through 3 and 4.

We’ll try it again, still looking for 30 laps in this one. Green flag! McMahan out to the jump once again, Lewelling in 2nd, Drew Kennedy in 3rd with J. Horton in 4th. Now Gary Blanken around in turn 4, Apaches Quinton gets a piece of it and caution is out yet again.

Green flag in the air one more time, maybe we can get some green flag racing in. McMahan with the jump again, Lewelling in 2nd, Kennedy in 3rd, J. Horton in 4th. Good clean lap so far. McMahan continuing to show the way as Lewelling begins to lose the handle and McMahan checks out. Now caution is out here on lap 4, debris on the backstretch — a fire extinguisher of all things!

Green flag back in the air one more time. McMahan checks out again off turn 2 as Lewelling tries to hang off a charge from Kennedy. Now we see Tim Hatfield lose a spot to Brown who has made his way from the rear. Now Blanken making some moves as he looks around Quinton but Estes will look to power around him on the inside. Estes around Blanken, around Cook, and now around Quinton just like that. McMahan still your leader now as we see Kennedy makes hard contact with the turn 2 wall, he’s up on the wall now, driver is ok.

Green flag in the air one more time, McMahan hard on the gas off turn 4. J. Horton now looking to challenge Lewelling as Brown begins to close in, now J. Horton makes the pass and Lewelling slams the turn 1 wall and he’ll continue on. McMahan continuing to lead but now caution flies here on lap 10 for debris.

I’m kind of getting tired of saying this: green flag in the air! McMahan, J. Horton, Brown, Hatfield, and Buchanan lead the field out of turn 4. Now Brown looks inside for a moment off turn 2, falls back in line. Now Buchanan looking inside Hatfield, now Hatfield hits the turn 3 wall and he’ll lose a rear bumper so caution will fly for debris here on lap 11.

Green flag in the air one more time. McMahan your leader into turn 3, J. Horton in 2nd, Brown in 3rd, but here comes Estes, he’s around Buchanan, now inside Hatfield, now he’ll chase down Brown for the 3rd spot! Estes now looks inside off turn 2, he’ll power by Brown in turn 3 and sets his sights on J. Horton as they sail into turn 1! J. Horton bobbles in 1, Estes closes up even more as McMahan begins to drive away. Off turn 2, Estes closes into the bumper of J. Horton heading into turn 3. Now he’ll power inside in turn 1, 16 laps in the books! McMahan better find the power boost button if he wants to cash in on the $2,000 because Estes is on a mission! Estes closing the gap on McMahan now as they sail into turn 3. 19 laps are complete. Estes inside off turn 2, falls back in line. He’ll look down low into turn 1, now inside off turn 2 as a lap car pinches them. They’ll lean on one another into 3, still side by side but now McMahan pulls away slightly off turn 2. McMahan now has 9 laps to go and lapped traffic will be a factor, but now Estes slows off turn 4! What another tough break for Estes!

Green flag back in the air one more time with 8 laps remaining. J. Horton all over the rear spoiler of McMahan as they head off turn 2. J. Horton tries to close the gap up in turn 3, as Quinton seems to have gotten punted slightly off turn 4. Up front, battle for the win shaping up, top 3 can be covered with a blanket. Brown on the inside of J. Horton, can’t make it stick off turn 2. Now Hatfield slows on the backstretch, and Brown slows up a little on the frontstretch. Now J. Horton makes a pass for the lead as McMahan has slowed to a stall in turn 4, looks like a broken shock on his machine. What a tough break for the fastest cars tonight!

Green flag in the air, 3 laps to settle it, $2,000 on the line, there’s no telling what will happen here folks! J. Horton with the jump out of turn 4 but Brown looks inside off 2 as J. Horton gets sideways in 2. Now Brown inside off turn 4, he’ll bobble. Now Buchanan powers on the outside of Brown, but he won’t have enough, Jordon Horton will take home the $2,000! Rounding out the top 5 are Buchanan, Brown, Blanken, and Robinson.

Fast Qualifier: #31-Greg Estes – 15.504

Late Model
Ready to roll, $2,000 40 lap Late Model feature set to go green! Turn 3, yellow’s gone and the GREEN IS ON!! Jason Trammell and Brad Hall side by side into turn 1, Walker Arthur in the 3rd spot, Hall with the lead off turn 4. Josh Collins in 4th, Scott Sexton 5th, with Pierce McCarter 6th. Brad Lowe on the inside of Ryan King into turn 1. Arthur now under pressure from Collins now as 4 laps are complete. R. King has a bobble in the middle of 1 and 2. Hall setting a blistering pace as he pulls away from Trammell in the 2nd spot. Arthur and Collins still doing battle now as 6 laps are complete. Mark Rosner on the inside of Scott Gardner in 3, falls back in line off 4. Now Mack McCarter on the inside of Jason Manley as the leader is not far behind. Hall closing in on heavy lap traffic now as he clicks off lap number 9. The lappers are racing hard amongst themselves so Hall will need to be careful. Arthur still holding off Collins as Trammell seems to be battling a tight condition on his machine. Lowe as closed up on P. McCarter to challenge for the 6th spot. Sexton in the 5th spot as he’s running high and P. McCarter and Lowe are closing on him. Hall still putting on a clinic as he continues to drive away, putting some pretty fast cars a lap down here. Now Bobby Giffin abruptly pulls off in turn 2. Gardner still holding off Rosner for position as we click off lap 16. Hall your leader, Trammell in 2nd, 3rd is Arthur but now R. King goes around in turn 3, and now several cars hit the fluid and caution will fly here on lap 17. Heath Alvey and Arthur didn’t have a lot of time to react as they closed in on the fluid, and by the time they hit the fluid, they were in the incident. Alvey with more damage, Arthur got by unscathed, barely. Another extended caution here as track officials worked to find who was putting fluid down on the speedway while circling.

Green flag back in the air! Hall powers away once again with Arthur now in 2nd, Collins in 3rd and Sexton 4th. P. McCarter 5th and Lowe in 6th. Rosner 7th as they click off lap 20, the halfway mark. 20 laps remaining. P. McCarter now gets a piece of the turn 2 wall, he’ll continue on. Hall now a half straightaway ahead of Arthur with 18 laps remaining now. Collins in 3rd, seems like the groove is up on the high line tonight, so Collins can’t do a whole lot. Gardner gets sideways off turn 2, Manley closes in but can’t do much this lap. 15 laps remain. Lowe looks inside P. McCarter for a moment in 3 as we see Manley around Gardner for the spot. Hall closing back in on lapped traffic once again, but he has a huge lead over Arthur. P. McCarter closing in on Sexton now as Arthur has a bobble in turn 2. Alvey looking inside M. McCarter for a moment as the leader closes in from behind. Now 30 laps on the board. Hall stinking the show up here tonight as he’s about a straightaway ahead of Arthur now. Collins now off the pace in turn 3, tough break for him. Now Sexton moves into the 4th spot as M. McCarter pulls off in turn 4. Sexton trying to hold on as P. McCarter closes in, P. McCarter dives low in turn 3, can’t make it stick. Lowe closing in on P. McCarter once again now as 35 laps are on the board, just 5 laps to go. Hall continuing to dominate, as Sexton continues to hang on. Now 3 wide for a moment in 4 for that spot, now down to 2 laps to go. White flag in the air, Hall only has 4 corners left for the $2,000! Checkers fly, Brad Hall secures the win, Walker Arthur comes home in 2nd, but 3rd up for grabs in turn 3, but Scott Sexton hangs on to claim 3rd! Brad Lowe and Pierce McCarter round out the top 5! This was Scott Sexton’s first race this season, and first race in a long time! The fans showed their pleasure in seeing “Superman” back out on the track!
