Mother Nature finally gave us a Saturday evening with beautiful weather so we could get a great night of racing action in! Starting the night off, Cory Hedgecock would set fast time in Limited Late Model qualifying, by nearly smashing the Limited Late Model division record by laying down a lap of 13.566, just shy of the 13.559 set by Adam Beeler on March 30th, 2013. The first feature of the night was Classic, where Philip Thompson took the win. Then it was Mini Stock, where the veteran Tommy Metler took the win. Next was the Street Stock division, where Dwayne Fox again took the win. Then it was Topless Modified, with Wayne James cruising to victory…until the last turn of the feature, where he would suffer a broken tie-rod, handing the win over to William Hux. Next was Thunder & Lightning, where Brad Lowe blew the field away. The final feature of the night was Limited Late Model, where Pierce McCarter cruised to victory.
Join us this Saturday June 15th for our Father’s Day Special! All competitors who will be racing is encouraged to bring their Dad’s to the pits with him – ON US! Also, Mini Stock will have an increased purse – through the field – if there’s 22 cars that start the feature. That offer of double pay only stands for this Saturday and 22 cars have to start the feature. We’ll get everything started this Saturday with the pit/tier gates opening at 3:00p with grandstand gates opening at 4:00p and the drivers meeting taking place at 6:00p. Adults in the grandstands will be $10, with kids 6-11 being $5 and 5 & under admitted free. Tier parking is $15 regardless of age. Pit passes are $25 for adults and children 11 & under is $15.
Another great Saturday night of action is in the books at Tennessee’s Action Track! It was a great night for racing as the weather was A+++! First onto the speedway was the Mini Stock, where Keith Sands would take the lead and never look back, scoring the win. In Topless Modified, William Hux held off the field to claim the checkers. In Classic, “Rocket” Robbie Sands blasted to the win. Thunder & Lightning was up next where Robbie Comer took the win, finally shaking the monkey off his back. In Street Stock, Dwayne Fox would take the win, and rounding out the night was the Limited Late Model, where Cory Hedgecock would set on the pole after being the fast time qualifier. He would show the way until lap 24 when he would have trouble getting around a lap car and bounced off the turn 2 wall, cutting a tire down. Jason Cardwell would find himself in the lead after the caution flew — for the 2nd time this season — cruising to the win due to the misfortune of the race leader late in the features! And this is definitely not to discredit Jason, but he’s been on the receiving end of the bad luck stick a lot the past couple years.
Join us this Saturday April 20th as we bring you another exciting night of racing action! All divisions will be racing, which consist of Mini Stock, Junior Hornet, Topless Modified, Classic, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, and Limited Late Model!
The 3rd Annual Hangover at the 411 Motor Speedway was washed away on Tuesday January 1st, 2013, but track officials made sure there was still a “Hangover” for fans to see. The 3rd Annual Hangover took place on January 5th, and the racing was fast and furious just like it always is at 411. First on the track was the Mini Stock division, where we saw Lee Merritt notch his first career victory! In Topless Modified, it was all William Hux who led flag-to-flag. In Classic, Robbie Sands continued his dominance by claiming the win. In Thunder & Lightning, Robbie Comer would take the checkers in this 10-lap feature, which was shortened due to time after Clyde Overholt took a tumble (video can be seen at http://ustream.tv/channel/motorspeedway411 – “Features from January 5th, 2013 – Part 1″ at around 49:14). Finally capping the night off was the 40-lap Limited Late Model feature where 2012 champion Josh Collins claimed the win.

Another great night of racing is in the books at 411! In Mini Stock action, we saw Rocky McNabb take the win. In Topless Modified, we saw two things take place. One, we saw William Hux take the checkers for the first time, and we also saw a fan favorite go up in flames. Johnny Ridings emerged from the car he was driving with his legs engulfed in flames. As of Monday morning, he was home resting comfortably and healing up from 2nd and 3rd degree burns but is expected to make a full recovery, so Get Well Soon Johnny! Next up was the Modified Mini where we saw Dustin Stephens take the win. In Thunder & Lightning, it was all Robbie Comer. In Street Stock, Shannon Emery notched his 2nd win of the season. And concluding the night we saw Jason Manley go 2 in a row as he claimed the checkers as the remaining cars behind him battled tooth-and-nail to the checkers.
Coming up this Saturday is another regular racing program! Racing in Limited Lates, Crate Lates, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, Topless Modified, Mini Stock, and Classic!
