Shannon Smith picks up win in Street Stock as Robbie Comer wins in Thunder

Mother Nature threw 411 Motor Speedway officials a curveball on Saturday, but Mother Nature wouldn’t win as we got a fantastic night of feature-only racing underway around 9p. Those visiting Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine Victory Lane included: Philip Thompson in Classic, Cindy Poore in Mini Stock (after Sam Burgess refused to pull his valve cover), Shannon Smith in Street Stock, Johnny Ridings in Modified, Robbie Comer in Thunder & Lightning, and Matt Henderson in Limited Late Models.

Join us this Saturday August 17th for Tennessee State Bank Kids Back 2 School Night as all students grades K-12 get free admission into the grandstands. We’ll also have kids bike races (kids are encouraged to bring their own bikes, but helmets are mandatory), as well as the Tennessee State Bank Money Machine! Come join the fun this Saturday!

Matt Henderson takes the win in Limited Lates, while Adam Engel wins in Street Stock

Another great night of racing has concluded at the 411 Motor Speedway! As always, we’d like to showcase our feature winners: Rocky McNabb in Mini Stock, Adam Engel took his first win in Street Stock. Shane Taylor grabbed his 2nd win of the season in Modified. David Miley stole the checkers in Thunder & Lightning, and the final feature winner of the night was Matt Henderson taking the checkers in Limited Late Model.

Join us again this coming Saturday August 10th for another great night of racing action! All classes (including Classic) will be in action. Also, join us on August 17th for another kids night, sponsored by Tennessee State Bank. We’ll have kids bike races, coin toss, candy toss as always, they’ll have their money machine there, and best of all, it’s also Back 2 School night, where all students grades K through 12 get FREE admission into the grandstands!

Johnny Ridings returns to victory lane only weeks after fiery incident

Another great night of racing is complete at 411 Motor Speedway, and now there’s only 1 racing event left for the 2012 season. Last night, we kicked the night off with the Limited Late Model B-Main, which was won by Heath Alvey. Next up was Classic, where Robbie Sands wore out the competition. In Topless Modified, Johnny Ridings would seal the deal as he snatched the early lead and held off several challenges from Keith Gregory to claim the win. In Thunder & Lightning, this feature was shortened to 7 laps with Robbie Comer taking the win. Next was Mini Stock, where Rocky McNabb would take the win. In Street Stock, Dale Watson would be the victor. In Topless Limited Late Model action, Cory Hedgecock would lead all the way to the white flag, when Matt Henderson would muscle his way past off turn 2 to claim the checkers. Hedgecock would lodge a protest against Henderson, who would accept, and was declared legal so the win stands.

Coming up this Tuesday will be an open practice, gates open at 5, practice runs from 6-9. $10 in the pits, $25 per car, and tier will be open free to the public! Be sure to join us this Saturday October 27th for the final race of the 2012 season, the 6th Annual Steel Head Nationals. In addition, we’ll crown the 2012 points champions, with the Mini Stock being decided on this night. Also, we’ll induct the newest members of the 411 Motor Speedway Hall of Fame! We’ll be starting earlier, with the gates opening at 2, and the drivers meeting starting at 4. $15 stands, $20 tier, and $35 pits!

Mike Townsend, Warren McMahan, and Matt Henderson claim wins in Fall Brawl

Another great night of racing is complete at 411 Motor Speedway! This past Friday was the 2nd Annual Fall Brawl! In Mini Stock action, Lee Merritt crossed the line first, followed by Robert Burris and Sam Burgess. However, in post-race tech, all three would refuse to pull their valve covers, handing the win to Mike Townsend. In Modified Street action, it was Warren McMahan who claimed the $2,000 cash. He was chased to the checkers by Gary Blanken and Jonathan Sims. Rounding out the night was the Limited Late Models where “Chewy” Matt Henderson chewed up the competition en-route to the $2,000 cash. He was followed to the line by a hard-charging Mack McCarter and Rusty Ballenger.

Coming up this Saturday will be the Coy Floyd Classic Shootout! Classes in action will be Limited Late Model, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, Mini Stock, Classic, and Topless Modified!
