“Sands” takes wins in Mini Stock & Classic as Comer returns to victory lane

Another great Saturday night of action is in the books at Tennessee’s Action Track! It was a great night for racing as the weather was A+++! First onto the speedway was the Mini Stock, where Keith Sands would take the lead and never look back, scoring the win. In Topless Modified, William Hux held off the field to claim the checkers. In Classic, “Rocket” Robbie Sands blasted to the win. Thunder & Lightning was up next where Robbie Comer took the win, finally shaking the monkey off his back. In Street Stock, Dwayne Fox would take the win, and rounding out the night was the Limited Late Model, where Cory Hedgecock would set on the pole after being the fast time qualifier. He would show the way until lap 24 when he would have trouble getting around a lap car and bounced off the turn 2 wall, cutting a tire down. Jason Cardwell would find himself in the lead after the caution flew — for the 2nd time this season — cruising to the win due to the misfortune of the race leader late in the features! And this is definitely not to discredit Jason, but he’s been on the receiving end of the bad luck stick a lot the past couple years.

Join us this Saturday April 20th as we bring you another exciting night of racing action! All divisions will be racing, which consist of Mini Stock, Junior Hornet, Topless Modified, Classic, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, and Limited Late Model!

Tarheel Tiger claws competition, sets new track record

Another great night of racing is in the books despite a light shower that passed over the speedway, but that surely didn’t slow us down any! In Topless Modified, Johnny Ridings was setting sail to victory lane when his engine would detonate early. He would lead the first 16 laps before he would exit the speedway, handing the win to Marvin Romines. In NeSmith Crate Late Model, Adam Beeler powered to the winners circle. Next on the speedway was the Southern Regional Racing Series Super Late Models. Ray Cook shattered the previous track record by laying down a lap of 13.540. The Tarheel Tiger would rip his claws into the competition en-route to Ujunkdit.com Victory Lane. In Mini Stock, Keith Sands held off Cole Trickle (Rocky McNabb) to claim the win, and to finish out the night, Travis Reno cruised to victory lane for his 4th win of the season.

Join us this Saturday night for another great night of racing, featuring the Limited Late Model, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, Topless Modified, and Classic divisions!

Vineyard pounces in final 2 laps for CLM victory

Another great Saturday night is in the books at the 411 Motor Speedway, and the action was fast and furious like always. First on the track was the Thunder & Lightning where Robbie Comer made it 4 wins for 4 races. Next up was Mini Stock where the entire top 7 finished almost nose-to-tail with Keith Sands capturing his first win! NeSMITH Crate Late Models were next onto the speedway where Justin Summers led the way until the final 2 laps, when Mark Vineyard would power around Summers off 2 on lap 18 to claim the win. Street Stock was the next class, were Gary Blanken wore out the competition, and the final feature of the night was the Limited Late Models where Ryan King flexed his muscles and led flag-to-flag through several cautions.

Next up on the schedule is a regular racing program on April 28th. Limited Late Models will run for $1,000, NeSMITH Crate Late Models will race for $600, the Topless Modifieds will return for $300 to win, while Street Stocks will battle for $300 as well.
