Johnny Ridings and David Miley take Shootout victories

Mother Nature can’t help but help the track officials at 411 Motor Speedway, as she would again bring a shower over the speedway just a few hours prior to race time. That’s only happened about 4 weeks in a row now! Anyway, moving on to the racing action, we saw another awesome feature in Mini Stock as the top 5 challenged for the win a majority of the feature. And at the end of the night fireworks flew as two drivers directed their displeasure toward one. Classic was the first feature, where Cameron Skinner would take the win. Next was Mini Stock, where William Tallent would hang tough to claim the win. Street Stock was next where Travis Reno would take the win – just in time – as a hose blew on his victory lane lap. The Modified Shootout was next, where polesitter Paul Johnson would suffer an electrical issue, sending him to the infield before the green. Johnny Ridings would claim the victory. Next was the Thunder & Lightning Shootout, where David Miley would take the win. The final feature of the night was Limited Late Model, where Cory Hedgecock took the win.

Join us this Saturday August 3rd for another great night of racing action where points racing returns! Everything kicks off at the same time, same place, same price!

McNabb takes win in Mini Stock, as Limited winner still to be confirmed

Another great night of racing action is complete at the 411 Motor Speedway, and the racing was fast and furious on one of the best track surfaces ever seen at the speedway! Mini Stock was the first feature, where Rocky McNabb took the win. Next was Topless Modified, where Eric Hux flexed his powerful muscles to blast off to the win. Robbie Sands hit the afterburners in Classic to take the win. David Miley would win in Thunder & Lightning. Raymond Shepard was the class of the Street Stock field–for the first 7 laps, until mechanical trouble handed the win to Dale Watson. Rounding out the night was fast qualifier Cory Hedgecock taking the win. Jason Manley finished up 2nd and lodged a protest. Hedgecock accepted the protest, and track officials impounded the motor, which was inspected on Monday evening and declared legal..

Trevor Sise edges Ryan King for Crate win, Stanley Donahoo takes win in Open Wheel

What a great night we had on Saturday night! If you weren’t there, shame on you, you missed a great night! We raised money for a cure for Alzheimer’s, and also got to see some great finishes! First on the speedway was the Classic, where Bobby Pressley took the checkers. Next up was Modified Mini where sparks flew between the leaders. After the concrete dust settled, Jimmy Elliott came from the rear of the field, survived a flat tire, and took the checkers! In Topless Modified, Eric Hux claimed another win, then in NeSmith Crates, we would see Trevor Sise finally break through as he edged Ryan King by mere inches for the win. In Thunder & Lightning, Robbie Comer clicked off another win. The UMP/IMCA Open Wheel Modified division joined us for a special race, where we saw Billy Palmer leading into turn 1 on the final lap, but he would lose the handle on his machine, opening the door for Stanley Donahoo to take the victory. In Limited Late Model action, it was all Cory Hedgecock as he held off challenge after challenge from behind and below to lead flag-to-flag to claim the checkers.

Coming up this Saturday is another great night of points racing excitement. In action will be Limited Late Model, NeSmith Crate Late Model, Thunder & Lightning, Street Stock, Mini Stock, and Topless Modified!
