2018 Late Model Rules

Engine A: Weight 2275 lbs. after qualifying and after the race.

Max Cubic Inch 365

All steel, flat top piston, flat tappet cam, 23 degree style heads with a 2 degree tolerance and a max of 205 cc intake runner. NO RAISED RUNNER HEADS. No titanium rods.

Spoiler: 8 inch spoiler and sides.

Engine B: Weight 2350 lbs. after qualifying and after the race

Max cubic inch 365. All steel, flat top piston, roller and flat tappet cam, 23 degree style heads with a 2 degree tolerance. NO RAISED RUNNER HEADS or titanium rods.

Spoiler: 8 inch spoiler and sides.

Engine C: Weight 2400 lbs. after qualifying and after the race. Max 365 cubic inch, all steel, 23 style with a 2 degree tolerance.

Spoiler: 8 inch spoiler and sides.

Engine D: GM 525

Weight 2300 lbs. As is from GM.

Spoiler: 8 inch spoiler and sides.


Lucas Oil body rules apply.

Rear Deck Height: Deck height 38 inches high all the way across to the bottom of the t-bar at any time.

Tires: Fronts open.

Rear tires Hoosier 1600 or American Racer 56. Both rears must punch 55. All rear (Hoosier) tires must have a shoulder plate (Anerican Racer 56) must have serial numbers JDKAX, JDKUX, J4141D, and JKW.

Tire protest:

Any car can protest a tire and have it sent to Blue Ridge for testing for $100. Blue Ridge's decision will be final. All protests must be at the scales and be made immediately after qualifying and after the feature. Refusal is an automatic disqualification.
