7th Annual Steel Head National Purses Announced

Coming up November 9th will be the 7th Annual Steel Head National! In the previous 6 events, this race has featured some of the best area dirt late model competitors, in epic battles. In those 6 races, there’s been 6 different winners. 2007 was Mark Rosner taking the win. 2008 was an exciting race with Ronnie Johnson taking the prize. In 2009, it was a pass coming off turn 4 to the checkers that landed Scott Sexton the victory. Ryan King stole the win in 2010, while Rusty Ballenger dominated in 2011, as did Josh Collins in 2012. This year’s event will offer up a cool $3,000 to the winner, the largest-ever purse for the Steel Head Nationals. All Limited Late Model competitors are invited to race in this event, and best of all, there’s NO entry fee!

But wait, that’s not all! Not only will the Limited Lates be running for a large purse, there’ll be some exciting support classes! On the program, we’ll have our Thunder & Lightning, Modified, and Sportsman cars all combined for $1,000-to-win. Street Stock will also be running for $1,000. Rounding out the program will be Mini Stock, also running for $1,000.

There will be NO entry fees for any division. ANY technical questions can be addressed to Joe Byrd at 865-776-1798.
