● Buster Cardwell, father of Limited Late Model driver Jason Cardwell, passed away earlier this evening. As many of you know, Buster was a member of the Hall of Fame. Please remember the entire Cardwell Brothers Racing team in their time of loss.
● Receiving of friends will take place from 6p-8p on Sunday at Bridges Funeral Home with service to follow at 8p. Visitation for family will be from 5p-6p. Burial will take place at Asbury Cemetery in Knoxville on Monday. Bridges Funeral Home is located on 5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924. ● This Saturday, Limited Late Models will be $1,007 to win, 37 laps. The winner will receive a special trophy in memory of Buster Cardwell. During intermission, we’ll have drivers walking the grandstands with their helmets collecting donations to go toward funeral expenses. We will also have a special tribute prior to the Limited feature in memory of Buster.
● Don’t forget fans, this Saturday, admission is FREE as long as you return with your armband or ticket stub from May 18th.
● Lost your band? Don’t have one? Don’t worry! If you don’t have a stub or band, you will be subject to the regular admission pricing.
● Have a military ID? Thanks for your service! As a token of our appreciation, you can enjoy a night of racing ON US! Simply show your ID at the ticket booth to receive your free ticket.
