USCS Sprint Car Series rolls into 411 Motor Speedway this Friday

Seymour, Tennessee – April 28th, 2013 – The cars and the stars of the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) is set to roll into “Tennessee’s Action Track”, 411 Motor Speedway, this Friday May 3rd. In competition this Friday will be the USCS 360 Sprints and the 600 Micro Sprints. Fans were treated to a fantastic show last season when the series was in town on Saturday May 5th, 2012. It was a dogfight for the win between Bobby Zaiontz and Chris Openshaw in the Micro Sprints, where Zaiontz would come out on top. In the 360 Sprints, race leader Tim Crawley would work lap traffic through the middle stage of the 360 feature, but it was Jerod Roller who rolled to the feature win. The most recent event for the USCS series was at Duck River on April 20th, where Derek Hagar set a new track record with a blazing lap of 10.943, where he would roll on to the feature win.

In the 600 Sprints, points leader Bobby Zaiontz holds a 54 point lead over Bob Trapino, and an 80 point lead over Sean Hosey. In the 360 Sprints, it’s a true dogfight as Derek Hagar who has accumulated 604 points, holds a slim 2 point lead over Tim Crawley. Terry Gray is 3rd in points, 10 points behind, Eric Riggins Jr is 4th in points with a deficit of 14 points, and Morgan Turpen rounds out the top 5 points as she looks to gain some points as she is behind by 41. Some drivers who could be in attendance this Friday (judged by looking at points and including those who attended last season) include Derek Hagar, Tim Crawley, Terry Gray, Eric Riggins Jr., Morgan Turpen, Jerod Roller, Chris Openshaw, Travis Senter, Mike Magic, and Bob Trapino among others.

Joining the USCS 360 and 600 Sprints will be the Limited Late Model, Thunder & Lightning, Mini Stock, and Mod Lite divisions. The Limited Late Model, Thunder & Lightning, and Mini Stock divisions have seen some great racing so far this season. The Limited Late Model drivers will be gunning for a $1,500 winner’s purse, paying $100 to start with no entry fee. Thunder & Lightning will be running for a $500 payday with $35 to start. Mini Stock will be running for $300 to win and $35 to start. For the first time in history, the Mod Lite division will be showcased.
