1. The 411 Motor Speedway and Smoky Mountain Speedway have both announced that they will be teaming up in the 2012 racing season! Both tracks will be cooperating with their classes and racing events! The 2012 411 Motor Speedway schedule will be posted early next week!
2. The Southern Regional Racing Series will be making a visit to the 411 Motor Speedway in July and again in August. On Sunday July 1st, the SRRS will be joined by the Volunteer STARS Racing Series in a co-sanctioned event paying $3,000! On Friday August 10th, SRRS will be in town in a standalone sanctioned event, again paying $3,000! Both races will be part of a SRRS/VSRS double header with SMS, with their races being June 30th and August 11th!
3. In addition, 411 Motor Speedway has officially became a NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series sanctioned facility! This means you’ll possibly see more crate late model drivers, as well as a 50-lap, $2,500 event on June 2nd! That should bring out some heavy hitters in that one!! The rules for this division can be viewed on http://nesmithracing.com/ — there will be a TRACK tire rule in effect until May 1st — any Hoosier or American Racer, must punch minimum 38 at any time. After May 1st, competitors MUST be on Hoosier D21 or D55.
4. We hope to launch the new 2012 website in late January or early February! As the date gets nailed down, we’ll make the official announcement. Who knows, it might be sooner!!
