Lowe doubles down for wins; Engel picks up win #4

Another Saturday night of great racing is in the books at 411 Motor Speedway! We saw Brad Lowe take the win in Street Stock AND in Late Model! Rusty Ballenger would set fast time. He would fade to the 4th spot after starting 3rd in the feature. Nick Perry picked up another win in Mod-Mini, while Layne Clifton smoked the Topless field. Robbie Comer got #4 in Super Truck — IN A ROW to boot — while Dalton King got himself another win in Mini-Stock as well as Kyle Courtney in Mini-Late Model. Congratulations to all the winners!

Coming up on Saturday is the Hardee’s Mini-Stock Shootout! They’ll be gunning for $500, and they’ll too get qualifying for their feature position. The Fast Time Qualifier will spin the wheel for a possible inversion for the feature. They will not heat race, as is the custom with Shootout races. All admission prices remain the same as usual, as well as the start times. We’ll see you Saturday at Tennessee’s Action Track!

Mod-Mini
First on the speedway were Mod-Mini, and the front row consisted of a surprise, Tim Miller would start on the pole, with Nick Perry beside him. Perry wasted little time snatching the lead on the start, sending Miller into the 2nd spot. Miller would run into bad luck on lap 4, pulling off the speedway and by-passing the hotpits. This would now allow Terry Poore to move into the 2nd spot, but on lap 7, Poore would drop fluid on the track in turn 1, sending several of the cars sliding in the wet stuff, with James Mitchell and Rocky McNabb getting the worst end. Mitchell would slam hard into the outside wall in turn 1 with McNabb following suit. McNabb’s machine would briefly catch fire but track officials were quickly on the scene to extinguish it. McNabb would exit his car and throw his helmet in frustration after seeing his battered machine. He would climb back in, head to the hotpits for service, and return to finish up in the 4th spot! Checkers were thrown on lap 10 on this one, with Nick Perry taking the win, Brad Pressley, who had his driver door opened like a can opener, would come home 2nd, and 3rd went to Jason Carter after creating the first caution.
