Mod-Mini Green flag in the air one more time, but caution flies in turn 2 on lap 2 as Lewis spins. Green flag back in the air one more time, Perry off with the lead, as track conditions are playing a huge role for these guys, they’re slipping and sliding everywhere so far. Stillwell gets loose in turn 2 on lap 4, but he’ll hang onto 2nd as Lewis is hot on his heels. Caution flies here on lap 12 as Lewis makes contact with Stillwell and turns him, caution flies. Green flag back in the air with 3 laps remaining. Perry still in the lead, Lewis still all over the Stillwell machine, checkers in the air, Stillwell spins in turn 2 on the last lap, but Perry wins, Lewis takes 2nd, and Stillwell rounds out the field. With Tommy Metler suffering heavy damage in the heat, he didn’t make it for the feature, so Dave Lewis is the 2010 champion! Cautions: 3 Topless Modifieds Ridings picking up where he left off last week, Clifton still the leader, he pulls ahead by some 3 car lengths on Ridings, as Gregory is hungry, he gets way loose in turn 4, he’ll fall in line behind Ridings. Clifton the leader, Ridings in 2nd, but Gregory is challenging. Gregory down low, Ridings up high, but caution flies here on lap 10 as the champ, Driskill, goes for a loop in turn 2. Green flag back in the air. Clifton charges off turn 4, Ridings in 2nd, Gregory still in the 3rd spot, he’s looking low off turn 4, and again in turn 1, and off turn 2, Gregory is still there, he’s on the inside, off turn 4, Ridings with the advantage that lap. Gregory falls back in line with 7 laps remaining. Ridings and Gregory moving the line up the track in turns 1 and 2. Clifton way out in front, challenge for 2nd yet again, Gregory there, he gets way loose and he’ll fall back into 3rd with just 5 laps remaining. Clifton in his own area code tonight, but the battle has been for 2nd so far, but Ridings has opened his advantage up a little here as there are 2 laps remaining. Checkers in the air, Clifton picks up the win, Ridings takes 2nd, and Gregory rounds out your top 3. Cautions: 2 Super Trucks Complete restart here, and Freddy Hillard leads the field off turn 2, Ogle takes 2nd, Chris Shepherd in 3rd, with Steve Hillard in 4th. Cate has a new left-rear tire and is looking to make a run back up to the front, but caution flies in turn 2 on lap 2 as Ogle spins. Green flag back in the air, Freddy Hillard with the advantage so far, Shepherd gets loose off turn 2, Cate gets into Shepherd a little, as Cate is now in the 3rd spot. Freddy Hillard in command, Shepherd with a nice run tonight, riding 2nd with 15 laps remaining. Cate in 3rd, with Ogle charging hard from behind. Ogle now takes over 3rd, he’ll by-pass Shepherd off turn 4, and Ogle tries to run down Freddy Hillard here with 13 laps remaining. Checkers in the air in this one, Freddy Hillard with the win, Ogle takes 2nd, and Cate takes 3rd. Cautions: 2 Street Stocks Green flag back in the air, Cook the leader, Smith in 2nd, Mayes falls into 4th on the restart by pulling over, haven’t seen that before, but now we have a battle for 2nd. Smith having a hard time getting around the track, he falls to the 5th spot, give McLemore the 2nd spot. But now on lap 11, McLemore starts slowing down, Mayes reclaims the 2nd spot with Brian Dinkins in 3rd. McLemore pulls off, and now Cook starts getting into lapped traffic, but he’ll speed around the lapped traffic, as we have 4 laps to go. Checkers in the air, Cook with the win, Mayes 2nd, Dinkins brings home 3rd. Cautions: 1 Classics Green flag back in the air one more time, Blackford now looks inside for the lead, but now Bart Baxter starts showing smoke. Blackford in the 2nd spot, but now Engel takes over the 2nd spot, he has a chance to snatch the win here with just 5 laps remaining! He’s been knocking on the door for a win all season, can tonight be his night to shine? Ray still the leader, Engel in 2nd, Blackford in 3rd. But Baxter crawls to a stop in turn 2, and caution flies here with 2 to go. The chance is here for Engel, the caution closed up the field, does anyone have anything for Ray? Green flag back in the air for the Classics. Ray in the lead, Engel in 2nd, trying so hard to snatch a win here. He’s closing ever so slightly, white flag in the air. 4 more turns to go. Engel still trying hard, off turn 4, Ray to the checkers, Engel in 2nd, and Blackford in 3rd. Andy Ogle is the 2010 Classics champion! Cautions: 2 Late Models – A-Main Green flag in the air once again, Collins, Lowe, White, and Scott Sexton lead the field into turn 1. White on the inside of Lowe for the spot, White running the low line, but he falls back into 3rd. Sexton up on the high line, he’ll fly past White, but now White moves to the top of the track, just not having forward grip to make the pass. Collins the leader, Lowe in 2nd, Sexton in 3rd. The rear of the field is getting larger in Collins’ windshield, as his lead is consistently a car length and a half. Collins definitely on a rail tonight, and now Sexton powers into the 2nd spot around Lowe, as cars are up high, down low, everywhere is a good groove right now. Sexton however is closing the lead quickly that Collins had accumulated. Collins has to move down low for lapped traffic, and Sexton has to do the same. Sexton all over Collins for the lead off turn 2 here on lap 12. Collins and Sexton the leaders, Lowe in 3rd, White in 4th, lapped traffic about to factor in, Collins and Sexton up on the top line, they’re nose-to-tail. 14 laps in the books, Collins at the point right now with more lapped cars coming into play. Sexton shows a nose for the lead. Battle for 4th. Bobby Giffin all over the machine of White as they try to put a car a lap down, but now we have another battle for the lead. Collins still the leader, Sexton in 2nd, but caution flies here on lap 18 as White spins on the frontstretch after making contact with the lapped car of Floyd. Green flag in the air one more time, 11 laps remain. Collins and Sexton drive away, if anyone has anything for Collins, they have a clean track now, but caution flies in turn 2 as Rusty Ballenger spins in turn 2 off the bumper of Adam Beeler. Green flag back in the air one more time, Collins in the lead, Sexton in 2nd, Giffin now looking for the 3rd spot, as Josh Yoder and Jason Manley start trading paint, but back up front, Collins still showing the way around, Sexton in 2nd, Lowe in 3rd with Giffin in 4th. Mark Vineyard looks to take over the 5th spot, and he does, with 9 laps remaining. Collins the leader, Sexton still all over the bumper of Collins, while Lowe and Giffin are starting to run harder and close the gap slightly. Collins puts another lap on a couple lappers, no problem, as he’s starting to open the lead up a little but now he has some trouble getting around Chuck Laney. Sexton on the inside off turn 4, he’ll fall back in line. 4 laps remain. Sexton on the inside, he charges inside, washes up, lets Collins go with 3 to go. The line can’t possibly go any higher in turn 1 and 2. Collins still leading with 2 laps remaining. Sexton bumps Collins, off turn 4, white flag in the air, Collins with now 4 turns left. Sexton gets into the wall, he pulls inside for the lead in turn 3, but Collins gets the run off turn 4, give Collins the win, Sexton takes 3rd, and Vineyard snuck into the 3rd spot at the checkers! Cautions: 3 Late Models – B-Main Green flag in the air. Danny Floyd gets the jump on the field on the start, he’s in his own zip code, but now the battle is on for the top 4. Dale Watson all over the place, he finally gets into the side of Eric Tipton, he’ll spin, and caution flies here on lap 2. Green flag back in the air, top 4 with 8 to go is Floyd, Jason Manley, Tipton, and Brent Hensley, but Hensley was dropping back quick, so we’ll see what plays out in this one. Floyd gets the advantage again, Manley falls into 2nd, but here comes Tipton, he wants to challenge for the 2nd spot, as Hensley is hanging on so far, but now he’ll finally get taken out down the frontstretch by Tim Damron, heavy damage on the right side of the Hensley machine after being turned into an infield tire in turn 1, and we’ll be under caution here on lap 4. Despite the damage, Hensley will continue, but he’ll fall to the rear in front of Damron, by rule. Green flag in the air, 6 to go. Floyd hard on the gas, he’ll lead them into turn 1. Manley in 2nd, 3rd is Tipton, and Herb Garner rounds out the top 4 transfer spots right now with 5 laps remaining. Floyd showing the way, Manley in 2nd, Tipton in 3rd, Garner in 4th. Floyd has a rocketship tonight, wearing out the high line, as he takes the checkers in the B-Main. Manley claims 2nd, 3rd goes to Tipton, and the final transfer spot goes to Garner. Watson, David Young, Hensley, Damron, and Tracy Wolfe will be heading to the house early tonight, hoping for better luck next week. Cautions: 3 Pure Mini Cautions: 0 |
