Official Results & Recap: August 14th, 2010

Mod-Mini
Green flag is out on this feature with Michael Courtney taking the lead followed by Dave Lewis & Brad Pressley. Courtney is taking the lead quickly while Lewis, Pressley, & Nick Perry battle for 2nd with Lewis still hanging on. Courtney still hangs onto the lead while Pressley has taken 2nd from Lewis but he is still hanging onto 3rd.  The caution comes out with Nick Perry losing some fluid on the race track. Courtney still has the lead followed by Pressley, Lewis, & points leader Metler.

Green flag is back out on lap 7 with Courtney taking the lead again. Courtney & Pressley are running away from Lewis and Metler. Pressley is trying to run down Courtney but isn’t having much luck as Courtney is still about 2 car lengths ahead right now. Courtney has slowed and pulled off allowing Pressley to take over the lead with Lewis & Metler running a distant 2nd & 3rd at this time. Pressley has opened up an impressive almost half a track lead and is still making it bigger as this race continues on the last lap. White flag is out on Pressley, Lewis, & Metler and that is how they will finish this race.

Topless Modifieds
Green flag is out on this race with Keith Gregory trying to take the lead but Wayne James will get it with Gregory and Layne Clifton battling for 2nd. Gregory is still working on getting that lead from Wayne James while holding off Clifton from taking 2nd away. Mike Lewis is coming in close in 4th trying to catch the front 3 for some of the action along with Ronnie King. Points leader Josh Driskill & Tyler James are trying to catch the rest of the pack as well. Wayne James seems to be opening up his lead on Gregory and Clifton. Gregory & Clifton are battling hard for 2nd with Clifton edging out Gregory for the time being but Gregory isn’t giving up. Lewis is hanging onto 4th and trying to catch Gregory for 3rd as Wayne James is making his lead bigger & bigger. Clifton is still holding onto 2nd while Gregory, Lewis, & King will round out the top 5 on lap 12. Driskill is trying to catch up to the top 5 but has a lot of ground to make up on this one. Wayne James still has the lead while Clifton is in 2nd trying to catch him. Gregory and Lewis are hanging onto 3rd & 4th as the white flag comes out. Checkers will wave with Wayne James winning followed by Clifton, Gregory, Lewis, & King.

Super Trucks
Green flag is out with Freddy Hillard taking the lead over Cory Cate but points leader Robbie Comer is coming on strong for 2nd and Rocky Ogle is looking for a piece of it too. Hillard is opening up a good lead so far while Cate is left to fight off Comer for 2nd.  Caution comes out as Comer spins Cate, which will move Ogle up to 2nd.

Green flag is back out with Hillard taking the lead again with Ogle battling Cate to keep 2nd. Comer seems to be making his move on lap 6 as he is trying to take 3rd away from Cate but cant seem to get it just yet. Hillard is still leading as Cate & Ogle make some contact in turn 4 but Ogle is able to hang onto 2nd. Hillard still has the lead but Comer has come up to 2nd while Ogle is holding onto 3rd with the left front nosepiece hanging off his truck. Comer is trying to take the lead from Hillard on lap 13 with Ogle still in 3rd followed by Cate. Hillard still has the lead but Comer is trying to take it but Ogle & Cate want to be up there as well. Comer is going high in turn 3 and just edges out Hillard to take the lead but Hillard and Ogle are still trying to battle it out for 2nd & 3rd. Comer takes the win on this one with Hillard & Ogle coming in 2nd & 3rd.

Street Stocks
Green flag is out on this feature with points leader Raymond Shepard taking the lead over Andy Diggs & Phil Davis. Dixon Greenwood and Jon Cook are up there battling as well. Shepard has taken an early lead followed by Davis, Diggs, Greenwood, & Cook. Greenwood has moved up to take over 3rd with Cook & Diggs battling behind him. Shepard will lose the lead to Davis as he & Shepard battle a lapped car with Davis leading. Caution will come out as the Glenn McCulloch will go up on the wall. This will put Shepard back into the lead as the lap was not completed. Top 5 will be Shepard, Davis, Cook, Greenwood, & Diggs.

Green flag is back out on lap 16 with Cook again taking the lead and Davis will again take 2nd away from Shepard with Diggs & Greenwood battling too and they will both pass Shepard also as Shepard seems to be losing power. Cook still has the lead as the white flag comes out with Davis trying to run him down followed by Diggs, Greenwood, & Shepard. Cook just comes out of turn 4 and he starts to smoke and he will hang on for the win. Davis takes 2nd, Diggs gets 3rd, Greenwood, & Shepard round out your top 5.

Classics
Green flag it out on this feature with Andy Ogle taking the lead over Marvin Ray & Phil Blackford. Ogle, Ray & Blackford are battling in the top 3 with the Marcus Baxter & Bobby Pressley battling for 3rd and 4th. Ogle still has the lead on this one followed by Ray, Blackford, Marcus Baxter, Bart Baxter, & Pressley. Marcus Baxter will make a good save as he almost spins in 4 but then the caution comes out as Bart Baxter spins in turn 2.

Green flag is back out on lap 11 with Ogle taking off with the lead once again. Bart Baxter will move into 3rd as he passes Blackford on lap 15. Bart Baxter is trying to take 2nd away from Ray as Ogle is still running away with the lead. White flag will come out for Ogle as Bart Baxter & Ray battle for 2nd.  Andy Ogle will get the checkers on this one as Bart Baxter will inch out Ray for 2nd on this one by mere inches.

Late Models
Green flag is out on this race with Brad Lowe taking the lead but the caution will come out quickly as Mack McCarter spins the Lowe which will also collect Ryan King & Clyde Stanton.

Green flag back out with Brad Lowe still leading Pierce McCarter, Ballenger, Stanton, Dylan Lowe, & Andy Ogle. Brad Lowe is opening up more of a lead over Pierce McCarter this time but Pierce McCarter is still trying to come back so he can take the win this time. Pierce McCarter is getting closer but will it be enough as the while flag comes out. Checkers will wave on Brad Lowe with Pierce McCarter coming home 2nd followed by Ballenger, Stanton, Ogle, & Lowe.

Pure Mini
Green flag comes out on this race with Dalton King taking the lead over Mike Townsend, Jordan Jensen, & Richard Ford. Caution will come out as Ford will slow to a stop on the backstretch.  Green flag is back out with King leading Townsend on this one. There will be the only 2 cars left at this time as Ford & Jensen have both pulled off with car troubles. And now here on lap 13, the white flag will fly after Dalton King slowed and pulled off the track, and Townsend is the only car left on the track. Mike Townsend will get the win on this one.
