RACE NIGHT RECAP

Mod-Mini
Green flag in the air for the Mod-Mini’s, and the “Rooftop Rocket” Rocky McNabb pulls away with the lead here, with Dave Lewis in tow, and Cory Cate in 3rd. But the battle is on for 4th. Our points leader isn’t having the best night, as he’s riding shotgun right now on the field as we complete lap 4. Cate now pulls into the 2nd spot here on lap 5, as McNabb ticks another lap. Nick Perry looking to challenge, as caution flies here on lap 12, as Rocky McNabb has dropped a lot of fluid onto the speedway, it appears to be water, so maybe it’s not a motor.

Cate is your new leader, with Lewis in tow. Now Perry wants to challenge for the lead. Perry needs to go, because “Bad” Brad Pressley is starting to close in, and now Perry lets Cate know he’s following. Pressley closing on the top 2, and now Perry looks inside for the lead, and that’ll give the 2nd spot to Pressley down the backstretch. 4 laps remain, Pressley running down Cate for the win, can he get around? 3 laps to go, Perry closing in from behind, and Perry bumps Pressley, and Pressley turns inside for the lead, but he’ll lose the run, and now Perry looks inside Pressley, and Perry hits Pressley off turn 4, and Perry goes into the infield, and he’ll lock the brakes down, and the “Nick” has hit the fan! Oh the humanity folks!! There goes the port-o toilet! It’s been knocked toward turn 1 about 6 feet, and it has tipped over on it’s door! That was (you figure it out)ty folks!! Perry gets sideways, and has to pick a poison on what to hit, so he had to go for the least damage, and aimed for the port-o. Thank goodness nobody was in that thing! I believe we can say that was the crappiest incident of his career, for sure!

Green flag in the air with 2 to go. Pressley looking to make a run for the lead off turn 2 on the last lap. He won’t have anything for Cate, and Perry is back in the race, and checkers are in the air, Cory Cate wins.

Topless Modifieds
Green flag out on the Topless Mods, current points leader Josh Driskill takes the lead off turn 2, but here comes Ronnie King, he’ll look to challenge, but he will have to fall in line. Ronnie King gets a run off turn 2, and he’ll blow past Driskill here on lap 3, and he’ll move to the high line, as Layne Clifton follows. Here comes Chase King, he’s bypassed for 3rd, after starting last due to his winning streak, and now he pulls inside Clifton, they bang, he’ll pull inside off 2. Chase King looking for the lead here on lap 7, and he’ll rocket past Ronnie King for the lead here on lap 7 off turn 4. Keith Gregory lost a motor in the heat race, so he’s driving the #31 normally driven by Johnny Ridings, and he’s riding shotgun on the field right now, as we complete 12 laps. Meanwhile, Clifton has caught Ronnie King again, and he’ll look to challenge for 2nd, as Chase King has opened his lead up. 5 laps remain, Chase King closing in on points leader Keith Gregory, as he’s over a straightaway ahead of 2nd place now in just this short time. But caution flies here on lap 15 as Tyler James spins in 3 and 4.

Green in the air again, Chase King waves bye-bye to the field, while Ronnie King tries to hang onto 2nd, he’ll open up the gap a little bit, but the gap has opened up for the lead. Checkered flag in the air, Chase King wins, 2nd is Ronnie King, and Layne Clifton 3rd.

Super Trucks
Green flag out on the trucks, Rocky Ogle and Freddy Hillard lead them into turn 1, Clyde Stanton leads, Rocky Ogle 2nd, and 3rd is Steve Hillard. Here comes Robbie Comer, he looks inside of Freddy Hillard for the 4th spot, but he’ll fall in line as they complete lap 5. Comer pulls into the 3rd position here on lap 14, but it’ll be too little too late unless we have a caution here. Stanton wins, 2nd is Ogle and 3rd is Comer.

Street Stocks
Green flag in the air for the street stocks. Travis Reno leads them into turn 1, with the Andy Diggs riding in 2nd and Jason Ogle 3rd, while our points leader, Raymond Shepard is crawling around the track. Reno still your leader as they complete lap 3, and Shepard pulls into the infield, but caution flies here on lap 4 as Diggs has lost a driveshaft in turn 3.

Green flag back in the air, we’re down to only 3 street stockers left. Travis Reno and Jason Ogle your leaders, with Justin McCarter riding shotgun. Ogle trying to catch Reno. 12 laps in the books so far, Ogle trying hard to get around Reno with the white flag in the air, he won’t have anything for him, Reno wins and Ogle finishes 2nd.

Classics
Green flag in the air for the Chris Breeden Realty Executives Classics Shoot-out! Don‘t forget, $100 bounty is up for grabs, and Mack McCarter takes off with the lead off turn 2 after setting our fast time, and Andy Ogle doesn’t want to give it up, but off turn 4 he’ll fall in line as the high line is the one that prevails. Ogle still not letting McCarter get away, and he’ll look inside off turn 4, but he’ll have to fall in line again off turn 2. 15 laps in the books, McCarter still leading, Andy Ogle still all over McCarter. And now the top 2 get in lapped traffic, Ogle pulls inside for the lead, and here on lap 18, caution flies here as Andy Ogle makes contact with McCarter, and now McCarter loses a tire. He’ll now lineup 4th as they get the green flag!

Pressley now your leader, Engel looking inside off 2, nothing doing. McCarter inside Baxter, white flag in the air. And this one is over, Pressley wins, Engel in 2nd, and Mack McCarter brings it home 3rd. However, McCarter by-passes the scales, and he will be DQed. With Pressley winning and McCarter getting the checkered flag in 3rd place, Bobby Pressley will pick up the $100 bounty! Congratulations to Pressley on the $600 paycheck!

Late Models
Green flag in the air for the Late Models, we have 18 late models, and they’re ready to do battle! GREEN FLAG! Josh Collins and Adam Beeler lead the field off turn 2, but caution quickly flies as David Vandergriff spins in turn 1 and we’re under caution. Green flag aback in the air, Collins takes the lead, and Rusty Ballenger makes contact with Mark Rosner, and Rosner goes toward the infield, tries to straight it up, but it’ll hook and turn right, in turn 4 and he will spin into the path of most of the field, and Heath Alvey, Brad Lowe, Danny Yoder, and Adam Beeler all pile in, and that’s very unfortunate for these guys. A lot of drivers did a fantastic job dodging that pileup.

Green flag back in the air, Collins and Beeler lead them into turn 1, and Collins and Beeler will run door-to-door until turn 3, and Beeler will fall in 2nd, with Ryan King 3rd and Clyde Stanton 4th, but here comes Jason Cardwell, he’s looking inside Stanton for the 4th spot, and here comes Ryan King, he’s looking inside for the 2nd spot, but Beeler gets the run off turn 2 and blisters him, while Cardwell pulls inside Stanton for the spot again, and now they continue racing hard. 5 laps in the books, Collins your leader, catching up to slow traffic, now Mack McCarter pulls off, and Collins and Beeler still fighting for the lead, Beeler not falling back and Collins not pulling away. Forrest Trent spins in front of Collins and Beeler and Beeler goes in the spin cycle, and caution will fly here on lap 10.

Green flag in the air once again, Collins back where he left off, Beeler in 2nd, and Cardwell inside Ryan King for 3rd, but King holds on so far. Cardwell gets a run down the backstretch, waves bye-bye to Ryan King, put Cardwell in 3rd. Beeler still looking for a way around Collins here on lap 15. Caution flies here on lap 15 as Adam Beeler spins off turn 2. Green flag in the air again, Collins now has Cardwell behind him, we’ll see if Beeler can make a run to the front. Cardwell now challenging for the lead off turn 4, he gets a run inside off turn 2, he’ll give Collins room through, and he’ll look inside off turn 4. Cardwell about hits the wall off turn 2, backs out, and now he’ll try to reel in Collins again. Beeler back up to the 6th spot now on lap 20, but Collins still your leader, Cardwell 2nd, and Ryan King 3rd. Cardwell has caught Collins again with 5 laps to go, he’s right on the bumper, and again he’ll get tight and back out of it, but he’ll try to reel in Collins one more time. And now Cardwell slows, he’s leaving behind smoke, his night is done, and looks like back luck has struck Cardwell yet again. White flag in the air for the Late Models, and Collins takes the win, Ryan King gets 2nd, and 3rd will be Josh Henry, coming from the 14th starting spot!

Pure Mini
In Pure-Mini action, points leader Dalton King signed in, but experienced trouble during the night, and did not make the feature, new-comer Alex Squires takes the win, with Billy Sands taking 2nd, and James Mitchell 3rd.
