Official Results & Recap: June 26th, 2010

Mod-Mini
Green flag out for the Mod-Mini’s, and Cory Cate and Dave Lewis will lead them down into turn 1. Cate and Lewis still side-by-side as they head into turn 3, but Lewis gets loose up high in 3 and 4 and will back his ride into the wall, but we’ll stay green. Now Nick Perry finds himself in the 2nd spot, looking for room around Cate, he’ll dive inside as they head into turn 3, but Cate will hold his line and hold the lead as they come around to complete lap 4. Brad Pressley has moved up into the 3rd position, with current points leader Tommy Metler in the 4th position. Perry still stalking Cate as they complete 6 laps, still waiting for Cate to make a mistake, as Metler is now getting a challenge from behind as Josh Ellis has caught him, but Metler will try to pull away a little, as we complete 10 laps in the books. Ellis now slows on the frontstretch and will pull off, as the leaders have caught Lewis, and Lewis will make his car wide, hoping to stay on the lead lap and catch a caution, but Cate is no match for Lewis. Cate begins to drive away as we have 6 laps to go. Perry briefly pulls inside Cate going into turn 1 with 4 laps to go, but can’t quite get the traction to complete the pass, Cate still leads, but caution will fly here on lap 17 as Perry has spun in turn 4.

Green flag back in the air, now Pressley will find himself in the 2nd position, and will challenge for the win, he’s on the inside heading into turn 3. Perry charges hard in turn 3 to try to take 3rd, but Pressley now makes a little contact with Cate, give the lead to Brad Pressley with only 2 laps to go! Pressley will lead the field down into turn 3 but he’ll lose the handle in turn 4 coming to get the white flag, now Cate pulls inside Pressley, give the lead to Cate as they head down into turn 1! Pressley now has only 3 more turns to make it happen! He’ll try to run Cate back down, but won’t have enough, as Cate takes the checkers in this one, and Pressley will finish 2nd!

Topless Modifieds
Green flag in the air for the Topless Modifieds, and points leader Josh Driskill and young hot-shoe Chase King will lead them down into turn 1. Give the lead to Chase King as they power off turn 2, while Layne Clifton gives a push to Driskill down into turn 3, and he wants to try to take over the 2nd spot, as we complete a lap, but caution flies as Keith Gregory gets loose and sideways, collecting Johnny Ridings in the process, and caution will fly.

Green flag one last time. Clifton however wants the lead, he’ll dive inside for the lead in turn 1, but he’ll fall in line off turn 2. White flag in the air, Gregory looks on the inside of Clifton, but he’ll have to fall in behind, as this one is over! Chase King picks up another win!

Super Trucks
Green flag out on the Super Trucks, and Robbie Comer quickly takes over the lead, Freddy Hillard in 2nd, and Rocky Ogle in 3rd. Robert Martin looks for the 4th spot, as he’ll rattle Steve Hillard’s cage down the backstretch. Meanwhile, back up front, Rocky Ogle wants the 2nd spot, he’s all over Freddy Hillard for the 2nd spot, as we complete 7 laps. Robert Martin takes over the 4th spot, but Steve Hillard looks inside to take it back, but he’ll fall in line, as Comer completes 10 laps. The next 10 laps would be single file until the checkers. Comer with the win, Freddy Hillard takes 2nd, and 3rd is Rocky Ogle.

Street Stocks
Green flag in the air, Jason Ogle starts showing some tire rub, but Jonathan Sims will take over the lead off turn 2, as Ogle gets a little sideways, we have cars all over the place off turn 4, some slower, some fast, they’re all over the track as we complete another lap. Sims still your leader, and has caught a couple slower cars to put them a lap down, and they’ll both give adequate room, as we complete 5 laps. Sims and Ogle your top 2, while Jon Cook is looking to take over the 3rd spot, with Raymond “Righfoot” Shepard behind him, but they’re all chasing Sims. Cook looking inside McDaniel, but the caution flies as Shepard gets sideways and will get hit in the left-front, and the upper a-frame appears broken, so tough luck for our points leader Raymond Shepard.

Green flag in the air one more time. With 5 laps to go, fireworks are sure to fly here as we see them flying in the sky! Sims leads the field down into turn 1, Ogle looks inside again down in turn 1, but Sims gets the run off turn 2, as Brad Mills now looks to make a run up toward the front, but back up front, Ogle trying to run down Sims, with McDaniel sideways looking to get a run on Ogle, but he’ll fall in line. Mills gets way sideways off turn 4 and will lose a couple spots. McDaniel now being challenged by Cook for the 3rd spot. But this one is over, Sims gets the win, Ogle 2nd, and McDaniel 3rd.

Classics
Green flag out on the field, and a $100 bounty is on the car of Mack McCarter. Ogle leads them down into turn 1, but here comes McCarter, he never showed his speed through the heat, but here he comes now in the feature, charging hard from the rear, as he now takes the 2nd spot, but Bobby Pressley will turn McCarter around in turn 3, as both cars will go to the rear, with both guys showing their frustration with each other already.

Green flag in the air, 4 laps to go. Engel on the inside of Ogle in turn 1, with Pressley now pulling inside Engel off turn 2, he’ll haul it down into turn 3 and keep the pressure on, as we see the white flag. Checkers in the air, Andy Ogle picks up the win, Engel 2nd, and 3rd is Bart Baxter, as Baxter turns Pressley off turn 4, and Bohanan has nowhere to go, and will make some heavy contact with the turn 4 wall. All drivers are ok.

Late Models
Green flag in the air for the late models, Clyde Stanton and Rusty Ballenger lead them off turn 4, Stanton will jump the initial start, and we’ll try it one more time. Green flag in the air, Stanton leads the field into turn 1, Ballenger up high, they’ll race side by side into turn 3. Points leader Josh Collins takes the 3rd spot, he dives inside Stanton for the 2nd position, but caution flies here again as the machine of Donnie Moore hits the wall in turn 4 and grinds to a stop, so lets try this restart one more time.

Green flag in the air, does anybody have anything for points leader Josh Collins? They’ll race down into turn 1, Collins keeps the lead, but the race is on for 2nd. Ballenger wants it, Stanton will keep it off turn 2. 3 laps remain, Collins pulling away, Ballenger and Stanton battling for 2nd, with Ryan King coming into the mix, King will pull inside Ballenger and look to take over the 3rd spot, checkers in the air, Josh Collins gets the win, 2nd is Stanton, 3rd goes to Ballenger, and King gets 4th.

Pure Mini
Green flag in the air for the Pure-Minis, Brad Cross takes the lead off turn 2, with Mike Townsend in 2nd trying to run him down. Dalton King takes over the 2nd spot here on lap 2.

Cross leads them to the green, King right on his bumper, he’ll look inside Cross down the backstretch, but Cross will try to hold him off as they sail into turn 3. King still inside as they head into turn 1, this is going to be a whale of a battle, as Cross starts to pull away a little bit as they complete lap 10. Checkers in the air, Cross picks up the win, King takes 2nd, and 3rd goes to Townsend.
