RACE NIGHT RECAP

Mod-Mini
Green flag is out on the Mod-Mini field! #39-Tim Ladd gets the early jump into the lead. The battle is on for 3rd as #92-Cory Cate takes 3rd, and looks for 2nd. Nothing doing yet, as Ladd is starting to peel away. Cate pulls into 2nd, but #2-Terry Poore is coming. Caution is out on lap 4.

Green flag out on the field once again, and Ladd picks up from where he left off, but don’t count out Cate yet. #41-Brian Berkley now moves into 3rd, as he’ll feel the heat from Poore, and these 2 will continue their battle. Fast forward to lap 9, Poore is now looking for 2nd, as Ladd has opened up a gap over the 2nd place fight. Berkley 4th, #44-Tommy Metler 5th. Lap 13, Poore has 2nd, Cate looking for the spot, their battle will continue. Cate keeps looking for a line to get around Poore, but Poore has his blue #2 up high. Caution flies here on lap 15 as Metler will spin off 2.

Green flag with a 5 lap shootout! Ladd pulls away once again, as Poore now looks for a new line, on the bottom, and tries to find a little moisture in the track to make a run, but nothing doing. 3 laps to go, now Cate will stick his nose in for 2nd, but nothing doing. Checkers are flying, and Ladd picks up his 2nd win, Poore 2nd, 3rd will be Cate.

Topless Modifieds
Green flag is out in this feature, but we won’t get far as trouble will occur in turns 1 and 2. #420-Wayne James spins in front of the field, and several cars get together. James to the rear.

Green flag is out again on the feature. #44-Keith Gregory pulls off turn 2, and will come off 4 with the lead, as we get a complete lap in, as caution will fly once again as the #D00-Josh Driskill will loop it in turn 1.

Green flag again, as Gregory gets the jump, but don’t count out #23-Layne Clifton or #22-Michael Milsap just yet. All these drivers are driving with eggs under their throttle pedal as the dry track proves to be an issue for handling, as the #5-Curtis Thomas will loop it in turn 1 and 2 here on Lap 4.

Green flag out once again on the field. Gregory gets the jump, but Milsap is all over the rear spoiler of Clifton. Nothing doing as Thomas spins again in turn 1.

Green flag out again on the field. Milsap and #3-Ronnie King both get the jump, and King makes contact with Clifton, and King will over-correct and cause a log-jam with the #57-Marvin Romines, #94-Luke Fox, Driskill making contact.

Green flag out again, and Gregory gets a jump once again, but here comes Clifton, looking to the inside off turn 2, nothing doing. Now Milsap looks to the outside of Clifton, but nothing doing, as Gregory starts to pull away slightly on the field, but not by much. Gregory, Clifton, Milsap, and now Driskill. Here comes Driskill, as he wants to break up the top trio, as the checkered flag flies, Gregory will pull away with the win, Clifton 2nd as we now have some ugly trouble in turn 1 after the checkers. Milsap apparently forgot where the brakes were and turned a pile-drove the #420 of James, sending the #420 into some HEAVY contact with the turn 1 wall. Both drivers get out to ‘discuss’ the incident and the officials are quick to keep the drivers separate. Milsap has been disqualified as a result of rough driving.

Super Trucks
#42-Robbie Comer has won 3 features in a row, and will start in the rear on this feature, despite winning his heat race. Green flag is out on the Super Trucks. #74-Freddie Hillard takes off with the lead. But they won’t get a full lap in as caution flies. Green flag is out once again, and the #2 of Steve Hillard jumps and gets inside the #14-Robert Martin, but nothing does as Martin takes over 2nd, and they’re all chasing Hillard. Comer now moves up into 3rd spot, as Hillard pulls away from the rest of the field. Fast forward to lap 6, Comer has closed the gap behind Martin, as Martin starts to run down the leader. Comer, now looks to the inside of Martin, nothing doing yet. Fast forward to lap 11, Comer pulls into 2nd, as the battle let them catch up to Hillard. Comer, now looks to the inside on lap 13, but nothing doing yet. Hillard continues to lead this thing. Both drivers are battling both each other and the track. Comer to the lead, but still nothing doing. Hillard still in control, as this side-by-side battle will continue, but here on lap 17, Comer will edge out in front of Hillard as Hillard gets loose and loses touch with the lead. Checkered flag in the air, Comer picks up win #4, #74-Hillard 2nd, and #14-Martin 3rd.

Street Stocks
This is sure to be a good show here in the Street Stocks! Green flag is out on the feature! #11-Raymond Shepard pulls out with the lead, but here comes the #92-Darrell Mayes. #0z-Jon Cook takes over the 3rd spot, as the action is furious for 5th. Shepard starts pulling away with the lead, Mayes starts pulling away from Cook, but now here on lap 3, #88-Larry Rudd spins and will go to the rear.

Green flag is back out. Shepard gets the jump, but the #0z takes over the 2nd spot, but Mayes isn’t going to let him go far. Now the #92 looks for 2nd spot on the #0z, but nothing doing yet, as the field completes lap 7. Mayes still looking for 2nd, as the #3-Mark Meadows spins, but no caution. Shepard has driven off into the sunset, as he has a half straightaway lead over new 2nd place car of Mayes. The field has gotten single file as they try to tip-toe through, as here on lap 13 as #0z loses a driveshaft on the frontstretch, and it has been buried and the officials will have to yank it out.

Driveshaft is out, and we’re back racing! Shepard takes control of the top spot, as caution flies again on lap 15 as the #70-Phil Davis will spin and #3-Meadows will spin to avoid.

We line back up, 5 laps remaining on this feature, green flag! Shepard doesn’t quite get the jump he got before, as Mayes looks for the lead. Caution will fly once again as the #3-Meadows gets spun on the frontstretch.

Green flag once again, 4 laps remaining! Shepard in the lead, Mayes 2nd, but here comes "Big Red", Larry Rudd, as he wants to break up the top 2, but he will go a little hard into 1 and pushes up, but no harm as the caution flies once again as the #20-Mikey Goudelock loops it in 2.

Green flag is out, 2 laps left. Shepard gets a jump, but here comes the Mayes. Nothing doing, as we get the white flag. Shepard still in the lead, but the #92 of Mayes is trying hard, but he’ll get loose off 2, and that’ll seal the deal. Checkers on the field, Shepard wins, 2nd is Mayes, and 3rd is Rudd.

Classics
Due to #57-Kennedy winning the past 2 features, he will start 3rd. Green flag is out on the field, as "The Rocket Comic" #3-Jay Eubanks pulls into the lead, but Kennedy is already there, but nothing doing. Eubanks leads lap 1, but here comes Kennedy. He will run low, Eubanks up high, they will stay side-by-side for another lap. Kennedy finally clears Eubanks, 3rd is #34-Philip Shockley, 4th #6-Logan Dukes, but the jury is still out for 5th as the #51-Bart Baxter and #98-Marvin Ray do battle for that spot. Eubanks with a head of steam, will look to run down leader Kennedy, but nothing there yet. Fast forward to lap 9, Eubanks under pressure from the Shockley, and now Dukes is under pressure from the #98 of Ray. Nothing doing for any of the drivers, as they will tip-toe around the track, but caution will fly on lap 11 as the #28-Adam Engel spins off 2.

The field will get the green flag again, and this is sure to be a barn burner. Eubanks pulls to the outside of Kennedy, but nothing, as Dukes takes over the 3rd spot now in convincing fashion. Kennedy makes a move and passes Kennedy, but immediately after, Kennedy will take over the top spot once more. Eubanks now under fire from Dukes, and Dukes wants to win this, as Dukes will lose power on the backstretch and pulls in the infield. Green flag still out, as Kennedy continues to lead, Eubanks stalking him, and Shockley stalking Eubanks here on lap 16. White flag is in the air, does anybody have anything for Kennedy? Eubanks looks to the outside of Kennedy, gets a run down the backstretch, and will haul it into 3, but nothing doing, as #57-Drew Kennedy picks up the win!

Late Models
20 cars on hand this week, as we have alot of fierce competitors in this class this afternoon. This one is sure to be an action-packed feature! The track will pose a challenge, and whoever can get around it the smoothest, will be the winner!

Green flag is in the air! #63-Josh Collins get the jump, but traction is definitely at a premium, as everyone has trouble getting through 1 and 2, but we make it a clean first lap! Finally in turn 2, the #30-Ryan King gets turned by the #21-Eric Tipton and the #10m-Jason McMahan, #33-David Ridings, #22L-Michael Lewelling, and the #19-Johnny Lane will be caught in the chain-reaction incident.

#16-Brad Lowe in 2nd, #47-Brad Hall in 3rd, 4th is the #2x-Anthony White, and 5th is the #29-Rusty Ballenger.

Green flag is out once again. as Lowe will haul the mail into 1 on the inside of Collins, nothing doing, as the #2x looks to make a run for 2nd, but will settle for 3rd as the caution flies once again here on lap 2 for the #77-Travis Reno spin in turn 4.

Green flag is out again, and the action is only heating up! Lowe on the inside of Collins, but nothing doing as Collins gets the run off the corner, now Hall looking for running room, as the action is heating up all over the track right now. Collins in the lead, Hall now takes over 2nd but we have a mess in turn 1 as we have about 5 cars get sideways and get into each other, no heavy damage this time as the #21-Tipton pulls off with a flat LR tire.

We had a good clean first lap, but we haven’t had much luck since then, as cautions are breeding cautions here. Tipton returns to the track.

Green flag out again! Lowe on the inside of Collins, nothing there, as White pulls to the outside of Lowe, but theres nothing there either, and now Hall pulls into 2nd spot, as the real fight is for 2nd right now. Lowe and White continue battles, while the #29’s battle, with #29-Jason Welshan taking over that spot, Lowe and White continue their battle, and further back the #21 is working his way back up after restarting in the rear. The #29’s are still battling, top 2 are pulling away, as the racing gets intense from 3rd through about 10th. Tipton with some evasive action as he’s picking them off 1 by 1, as he sets his sights on #00-Brian Ownby, but caution will fly on lap 11 with the #86-Matt Shockley spinning in 2.

Green flag is out again on this stellar field! Caution flies again as someone jumped the start. Green flag again. Collins with the jump, Hall to his inside, now he’ll fall in behind him, as Welshan Bonsai’s from 5th to 3rd, that didn’t work as he hits the berm, as several more cars get together toward the back and we get another caution.

Green flag is out as we’re stuck on lap 11 now. Collins still out front, White and Hall now battle for 2nd, as Welshan pulls up into 4th, but on lap 12, the #74-Clyde Stanton runs over the #29-Ballenger and sends him in the spin cycle. Tipton now finds himself in 8th.

Green flag is back out, does anybody have anything for Collins? White powers to the inside of Hall, as Welshan powers to the outside of Lowe, but the caution will fly once again for a bad start. Green flag again! Collins powers away on the restart, Hall in tow, but here comes Welshan, as he looks to spoil the party. He’ll power around Lowe for 4th, as Collins starts pulling away. Hall 2nd, White 3rd, Welshan 4th, but here comes McMahan to the inside of Lowe, as we have caution yet again for the #22L spin in turn 2 here on lap 14.

Green flag out again. Collins in command, but White wants a piece of Hall, and Welshan runs out of real estate down the backstretch, but no trouble. Hall takes over the 2nd spot, White in 3rd, Welshan in 4th, and Lowe in 5th as we have 4 laps to go! But hold the phone, caution is out again here on lap 16 as the #00-Ownby spins, collecting the #33-Ridings, #19-Lane, and #B00-Josh Henry.

GREEN FLAG! Collins with the jump, Hall to his inside, nothing doing off 2. Welshan in 4th, White 3rd. But here comes Lowe! White flag is out, one more to go for Collins, as he has checked out from Hall and White, Welshan controls 3rd. Off 4, Collins with his 2nd win, Hall 2nd, White 3rd, Welshan 4th, and Lowe 5th.

Pure Mini
Green flag is out on the Chris Breeden Real Estate Pure-Mini Shoot-out! #31-Michael Arp takes over the early lead, but here comes #16R-Robert Stone, as he’ll look to the outside and take over the lead, but gets loose, as it’s a drag race, Arp leads the first lap, but here comes Stone on the inside. #v20-Brad Cross looks on the outside of Arp, nothing doing there, as Arp looks to take over the lead from Stone, but nothing doing. Cross looks to the outside of Arp, but Arp gets tight. Several cars in the way of the leaders, but they make it around cleanly, as Cross is now on the rear decklid of Stone, and he looks to the inside, nothing doing there, as Arp tries to run those 2 down, but up front, Cross looks to the inside of Stone, and powers around him off turn 2, but Stone tries the crossover, but that won’t happen, as we complete lap 7. #25-David Singleton has moved into 4th and the #51-Dalton King in 5th. Cross still leads, as Arp gets sideways in 1, but gathers it up. #23-Anthony Singleton turns the #29-Mike Townsend off turn 2 as we get caution on lap 10.

Green flag out again. Stone dives to the inside of Cross, but that doesn’t hold up, as we get caution here as the #B1-Debbie Singleton and #32-Bobby McClain get together in 1.

Green flag is out again, as Stone looks to the inside of Cross, but nothing doing, and that opens the door for Arp and #25. Caution is out here on lap 11 as the #9-Tammy White slows to a stop in 3.

Green flag is out again. Stone looks to power inside of Cross, but that doesn’t hold up again, but he doesn’t lose as much momentum as last time. Arp gets loooooose in 1, holds onto it, as he now runs 4th. Cross, Stone, David Singleton, Arp, and King your top 5, as caution flies again as the #9-White gets into the turn 1 wall here on lap 13.

Green flag is out once again, Stone and Cross make contact, Arp moves into 2nd, but nothing doing, as Stone gets into the berm to try to get around Cross, and Stone is now 4th. Cross still in command, but the #25 is trying to reel him in, #51 has moved into 3rd now, as we complete lap 16. Cross still in command, David Singleton 2nd, Stone now 3rd, and 4th is King. White flag is out as Cross leads. 2nd is a fight with the #25, but checkers will fall. Cross, David Singleton, Stone, Arp, and King round out your top 5!
