RACE NIGHT RECAP

Mod-Mini
Green flag is out, as we make it to Lap 2, #15-Dave Lewis spins after a little bit of lap 1 help, #44-Tommy Metler also spins to avoid, and the call is made to put the #15-Dave Lewis to the rear. Fast forward to lap 4, #44-Metler spins in turn 2 on lap 4, and the call is made to put the #44-Metler to the rear.

#2-Terry Poore and #99-Chuck McMahan are having a good race. #13-Ernie Collette spins on lap 14 to bring out caution. Green flag, #99-Chuck McMahan takes over the lead, but hold on, #2-Terry Poore says NO and sneaks back into the lead on lap 15, only to give it right back up.

Miscommunication drops the checkers a little early on this feature, so the caution would actually be waved, and the feature will resume on lap 15. #2-Terry Poore would nudge #99-McMahan on the restart, but wouldn’t have anything else for the #99 as Chuck McMahan picks up his first feature win.

Topless Modifieds
Green flag, and the field takes off to a rather clean start. Lap 4, #31-Johnny Ridings brings out the caution, #D00-Josh Driskill has a great handling car and is driving away with this one. #44-Keith Gregory has been putting on a show despite an ill-handling car, and has moved up to 2nd position.

Lap 14, #57-Marvin Romines spins off turn 2, and at almost the same time, #3-Ronnie King and #420-Tyler James get tangled together heading into turn 3. Because of that, the time limit passes and this feature will be green/white/checkered at Lap 12. #44-Gregory looks to mount a charge for the win, but spins in turn 2 on the last lap.

Green/white/checkered one more time. Green flag in the air, and #D00-Josh Driskill takes the checkers in convincing fashion.
This feature was shortened to 14 laps due to time limit expiration.

Super Trucks
Green flag in the air, #42-Robbie Comer and #74-Freddy Hilliard make contact, ripping the right side open like a can opener on the #42-Comer machine, the crew peels off the rest of the panel and #42-Robbie Comer rides shotgun to the field. Lap 3, #44-Chase King goes in too high in turn 3 and makes heavy contact with the outside wall, driver side first, damaging much of the left side of his Super Truck ride. #44-King walks away from his mangled mess. Lap 5, #42-Robbie Comer battles for the lead with Hillard, finally taking over the top spot on lap 7 for good, and picks up where he left off in 2009, picking up the feature win.
This feature was shortened to 10 laps due to time limit expiration.

Street Stocks
Green flag in the air, and already, it’s the #11-Raymond Shepard and "Wizard of 0z" show, as #11-Shepard and #0z-Jon Cook battle for this one. However, the fender-banging action remains behind those 2. #11-"Right Foot" Raymond Shepherd takes the checkers.
This feature was shortened to 10 laps due to time limit expiration.

Classics
Green flag in the air, as #57-Drew Kennedy charges on the outside to take the lead. Lap 9, first caution, #6-Logan Dukes trying to find a way around #57-Kennedy the last 4 laps, nothing there yet. Lap 12, side-by-side for the lead and it’s still a dog fight! Lap 13, off 2, #6-Dukes gets the advantage and takes over the top spot as #57-Kennedy falls in behind #6-Dukes in 2nd. Caution on Lap 14 for the #60-Bobby Bohanan in turn 2.

Green flag in the air as #6-Dukes takes off to a slight advantage over #57-Kennedy, but don’t count him out yet. #6-Dukes will pull away over these final few laps, and #6-Logan Dukes will take the win in this one.

Late Models
Green flag in the air for the Late Model division! #52-Scott Sexton blows by #63-Josh Collins on the start, as carnage ensues behind them after contact between the #2-Butch Bayless, #3-Danny Floyd, and #22L-Bradley Lewelling, and it will be a complete restart.

Green flag in the air one more time! #0-Ross White sticks his nose inside #63 to make it a 3-car battle for the lead as #19-Johnny Lane spins behind them, bringing out caution once again. Complete restart #2 is coming up.

Green flag once again, #0-White looks for the lead, nothing doing there as they charge into 3. #07-Jason Cardwell looking to the outside of #0-White, nothing doing once more as they exit off 2. Lap 3, #52-Scott Sexton pulls away, #0-White battles #63-Collins for 2nd. Fast forward to Lap 4, #52-Sexton high-siding his #52 machine as he starts to pull away from #63-Collins and #0-White, with #07-Cardwell and #7-Heath Alvey in tow. #25-Scott Gardner looking for racing room back in the middle of the field. 6 laps are down, #52-Sexton has a half straightaway lead over #63-Collins and #0-White as the leaders start hitting lap traffic. Lap number 10 in the books, the Top 5 remain the same as #7-Alvey looks for room around #07-Cardwell, nothing there. Meanwhile, back to the front, the lead has shrunk as #52-Sexton has gotten into some heavy lap traffic, #0-White trying to hunt down 2nd and #07-Cardwell a half straightaway behind those 2 drivers.

This race is half over, as your top 5 remains the same, with cars next to the wall and almost in the infield looking for running room. Meanwhile, action heating up all over the track as it’s now a conveyor belt of cars. Sexton makes it 3 wide trying to lap cars, #63-Collins and #0-White battle, but now #63-Collins gets the advantage, and now #07-Cardwell battles heavy traffic as he tries to snake around them and finally makes it 3 wide to make the move. Back up front, #52-Sexton has pulled away from #63-Collins and he is now taking more heat from #0-Ross White, they both have plenty of cushion between themselves and #07-Cardwell, as they complete Lap #25.

White flag is in the air, as #0-White looks for 2nd place over #63-Collins, the 2 make contact off 2 as it is a dogfight for 2nd as they exit turn 4 for the checkers, and #63-Collins will hold off #0-White.

Pure Mini
Green flag in the air for the Pure Minis. #16R-Robert Stone pulls away with this one as #25-David Singleton gets turned from the 2nd position. #x20-Brad Cross looks for a faster way around the track to hopefully mount a run on the 16R-Stone, but nothing there yet as they complete lap 3. #x20-Cross slows now on lap 4 and he will pull his machine to the infield as we stay green. #16R-Stone is well in control of this one, as the battle starts to heat up for 2nd as #51-Dalton King starts to put pressure on the #25-D. Singleton. This one is in the books, as the #16R-Robert Stone bags the feature win.
