STREET STOCK
BODY: American rear wheel drives only. Trucks allowed. Camaro-type bodies allowed. 1966-1987 models only. Minimum wheelbase of 108 inches No bars on outside of car. must have four windshield bars welded vertically directly in front of driver. All glass, plastic grills, lights, emblems, etc. must be removed. Must have legible numbers on both sides and top with contrasting color. 6" rear spoiler, no wider than the deck with no sideboards.
ROLL CAGE: Cage with six points welded to frame with three driver side door bars and three bars in passenger door minimum & bar behind the driver for proper positioning of the seat belt harness.
SUSPENSION/STEERING: Components must be stock. No racing shocks One shock per wheel in original position Stock type springs front and rear (coil or leaf) may be heated or cut. May run adjustable spring buckets in front only. Remainder of suspension must be stock for car.
REAREND: ANY O.E.M. type (9“ ok). NO floaters.
TRANSMISSION: O. E. M. automatic or straight shift. With working reverse Straight shift must run STOCK flywheel and clutch. 2" hole in bottom of bell housing for inspection. Working Torque converters must be O. E. M. type for transmission used.
FUEL: Gas only. Top pick-up fuel cell mandatory. with at lease two (2) 2" by 1/8" steel straps. No electric fuel pumps. Stock carburetors only. No Holley’s.
IGNITION: Stock OEM only (NO MSD).
WEIGHT: Weight 10 lbs. per cubic inch (example: .030 over 350 is 355 c.i. = weight of 3,550 lbs.)
WHEEL: 10” steel. 12” optional.
TIRE: Track Tire or USED American 56 or spec Hoosier D-55/1600 (must durometer 60)
ENGINES: - Headers allowed.
- OEM Cast Iron Intakes only. No carb spacers allowed.
- OEM Cast Iron Heads only. No Modifications. No Exceptions. No Vortec Heads. May be cut for screw in studs & guide plates. Stainless Steel Valves allowed. May run larger diameter than stock Valve Springs. Machining of Spring Pocket Allowed. Stock size valves only that came in Head. ARP HEAD BOLTS OK. Aftermarket Rockers allowed.
- Any Hydraulic Flat Tappet Cam allowed.
- Flat Top or Dish Four Valve Relief Pistons only. May be cast or Hypereutectic. No Forged Pistons
- Stock OEM Cranks. No modifications allowed.
- Stock OEM Rods only. Stock Length. No Floating Wrist Pins. No Modification. (May use ARP Rod Bolts)
- OEM Cast Iron Blocks only. No Bowtie Blocks Allowed. No modifications except may over bore and use ARP Main Bolts. Decking of Block Surface allowed. No part of the piston may protrude above the deck of the block
- May run aftermarket oil pans. No Windage Trays or Crank Scrapers. Stock style Oil Pump.
